• Winter Lady Watercolor and Pencil Art

Last year, after months of not drawing original art (Sans clothing and costume ideas) I sat down and drew a new picture! And, because I’m ridiculously slow about talking about anything but fabric designs on this blog, I’m going to talk about it now. *sigh* This drawing, called Winter Lady, was drawn on watercolor paper with a pencil and then colored with watercolors and pencil. Overall, I’m very happy with the way it turned out. I wish I talked about this picture sooner, but eh. Better late than never. Especially since it’s December and the weather is cooling off. Sort of. Prints are available of this picture on Society6 here.…

  • 2017 Chinese New Year Rooster Sketch

I wanted to draw a sketch to celebrate Chinese New Year for a while now, but I never had the opportunity until this year. I drew the sketch late for Chinese New Year, but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out so I decided to write a post about it! 2017 is the year of the rooster, so I naturally had to draw a rooster. I never drew a rooster before and nearly all my other attempts at drawing or sketching birds never worked well, so I didn’t know how my sketch would turn out. Fortunately, I really like the way it turned out! I drew the rooster…

  • #Inktober 2016 Sketches- Week 2

Last week I realized I have a lot of posts I need to write, so this week I’m posting two posts this week instead of one! During week 2 of Inktober, I started the week feeling not so great because of my cold. I ended up taking a few days to rest and, after I felt better, I began drawing again. I never drew a life drawing with a ball point pen before, so I spent most of the week drawing sketches of stuff around my house, including my dog Brownie. Although I’m not pleased with almost half the sketches I did during week 2, the most disappointing drawing I…

  • Princess Euphemia Drawing

After a few months without a completed drawing to blog about, I finally have one! A few weeks ago I was trying to decide what sewing project I should start next. I remembered that I wanted to make two of Princess Euphemia’s dresses almost five years ago, but never finished. Although I decided not to work on the dresses yet, I wanted to draw Princess Euphemia again. I drew her years ago (four to be exact) but my drawing style changed since then so I wanted to draw her again. Here is the drawing… I drew the drawing on sketch paper with a mechanical pencil and colored with Prismacolor colored…

  • Red Horse Painting

Back in March, I made a new watercolor painting of a horse similar to my previous painting in the post here. Since I was mostly focused on the mane to be red, I call the painting Red Horse. Prints of the painting are available for purchase on Society6 and at Redbubble. The painting can also be seen on DeviantART, and Tumblr. (I’m having trouble keeping my Twitter up to date so I’m taking a break from it. I’m also slow with updating my Facebook so this painting has yet to be posted.) Also, the original painting will be available for purchase at my Etsy shop! It’s not listed yet because…

  • Black Paper Sketch- Candle

Today, I’m going to make a really short post. Well, compared to my other posts (Such as my sewing posts) this one is short. XD After I made a post about my black paper sketches, I made a new one this time of a candle! It’s a simple sketch but I’m very happy I was able to draw it. I had the idea for a while but didn’t have the time to do it. Once I got the time, I was able to draw it in less than 15 minutes. That’s all for now!

  • Black Paper Sketches

A few weeks ago, I bought a book of black drawing paper on sale. I’ve seen artist online draw on colored paper before, but I never thought about trying to draw on colored paper myself. Since I wanted to expand my drawing skills, I decided to try to draw on it! When I brought the paper home, I didn’t know how I’d like drawing on it or if any of my drawings turned out well. Fortunately, I really like drawing on it and my drawings turned out better than I thought they would. I don’t want to sell prints of the drawings, but it was a good practice! Since I…

  • Merida Pencil Drawing

Back in 2013, after entering the Phoenix Comicon’s badge art contest, I decided to make plans for PCC’s 2014 badge art contest. I wanted to enter a Disney drawing because there wasn’t a Disney representation in 2013’s voted-on entries. I ended up drawing two drawings, one of Merida from Brave and the other of Rapunzel from Tangled. Unfortunately, in 2014 PCC didn’t hold an badge art contest and I don’t believe they will hold them anymore. (The didn’t for the 2015 convention) Because of this, the two drawings I planned on entering in the contest were left in my sketch books uncolored and untouched. A few weeks ago, while going…

  • Rose Tyler Pencil Drawing

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I over stressed my thumb from hand sewing too much. After a week’s rest, my thumb began to feel better and I began to draw and color drawings I never finished. One of the original drawings I did was of Rose Tyler from Doctor Who. I didn’t try to make the drawing look exactly like Billie Piper, but more of what I hope a cartoon version of Doctor Who would make her look like. I still remember the two animation movies of the 10th Doctor and how the animation… well… left something to be desired. (Ok, I admit it. It was bad.) If…

  • Frozen Fan Art Dump

During one of the weekends when the seasonal monsoon storms in Arizona, the wind was so rough it knocked out the power. It was during the day so I had light to sit and draw instead of doing my real work on the computer. I wanted to draw some Frozen fan art, but I never felt like it or the art I drew looked bla in my eyes. Recently I’ve been practicing drawing/painting without concern of perfection so I decided to draw pictures of the Frozen characters without worrying about getting every detail right. After I completed the drawings, I’m extremely pleased with how they came out! I need to…
