• Addressing My Sketch and Drawing Slump

Hi everyone! It has been quite a while since I posted sketches and drawings on here. Since it’s been a while since I posted, I wanted to talk about why I haven’t been posting about sketching or drawings.

  • Dress Rough Sketch

Hi everyone! While looking through the same sketch book I found my 2023 self portrait sketches in, (You can read that post here) I also found another sketch. This sketch is a rough sketch of a dress. Here is what the sketch looks like… I honestly don’t remember much about this sketch or the dress that inspired it. I remember I saw a dress (Probably a collectable Disney Princess doll) and felt inspired to sketch it. I don’t remember much else about it. I do know it was done within the past two or three years. Since it is a rough sketch, I never talked about it online. When I…

  • 2022 Self Portrait Sketches

Hi everyone! Last year, I decided I would like to update my profile picture. For many years, my profile picture is a self portrait of myself. I wanted to continue the tradition by drawing a new one. My plan was to draw myself with the same style hair and clothes I always draw myself wearing.

  • Inktober Drawing Promps 2021

Hi everyone! October is a week away and that means it’s almost time for Inktober! (Or, in my case, Sketchtober) If you never heard of Inktober (Or Sketchtober) it’s when artists draw a new piece of art every day though out the month of October. For artists participating in Inktober, each new piece must be drawn by pen or ink based drawing supplies. For Sketchtober, it must be a sketch only. Many artists, like myself, like to create a list of ideas to draw and share them in order to help anyone who feels uninspired drawing inspiration. This year, I decided to do something different: I wanted all the drawing…

  • May 2019 Hospital Sketches

In May 2019, a family member of mine had surgery. It was an extremely stressful time for me because I was not only worried about my family member, but I was struggling with complications with my recovery from an antibiotic resistant infection and was trying to find myself a new job and place to live. Even though my health has improved dramatically and my family member’s has as well, I still feel very sad thinking about that time last year. I was so full of hope and was excited for what the future would hold, but it didn’t work out. It was a similar story to my life this year,…

  • XP-PEN Deco 01 V2 Graphic Tablet Unboxing

After months of searching, which I talked about in this post and this post, I finally settled on a new drawing tablet for my computer! I picked the XP-PEN Deco 01 V2 Graphic Tablet. It can be purchased on amazon, which is where I found it, and is under $60 USD. I plan on posting an unboxing video on YouTube, but I recently had computer problems that prevented me from editing new videos. Even though I plan to make an unboxing YouTube video, I took photographs of the unboxing. Since it will take me a while to finish the video, I decided to write a post about unboxing the tablet…

  • A Rant About My Computer’s Drawing Tablet- Part 2

In my last rant post about my computer’s drawing tablet, I talked about my struggles with my old Wacom Bamboo tablet, why I cannot use it anymore, and trying to find a new version of my tablet. After discovering Wacom does not make the Bamboo line of tablets anymore (It’s now a line of smart pens), I started to search for a Wacom brand replacement. After searching Wacom’s website, I found a few tablets that fit my requirements and necessities for a drawing tablet. The first one is the Wacom Intuos line and the second is One by Wacom. I like both tablet, or pen tablets as it’s called on…

  • A Rant About My Computer’s Drawing Tablet- Part 1

Last month, while trying to get my new-ish computer ready to start working on my Inktober drawings, I tried to used my Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet. I was very excited to start using it again… until I plugged it in and realized it didn’t work. I thought it would be a simple fix by using the programing disk to install the software onto my computer… and then I discovered the operating system my computer runs on is not compatible with the tablet’s software or with the tablet at all. It’s been a few weeks since that happened and I can honestly say I’m still upset about what happened. Since I…

  • August 2018 Bullet Journal Layout

Hi everyone! This year I decided to try bullet journaling. I’m unsure how much I’ll like bullet journaling, if I’ll keep it up next coming year, or if I’ll give up and just draw layouts for fun , but I want to at least give it a try. I started bullet journaling in August 2018 with a layout I thought would work, but it didn’t. My original idea was to make a bullet journal to keep track of my art, sewing, and photography projects. At first I thought this would work well for me and will help me be productive, but my day job can become very crazy at times…

  • Inktober 2017-Week 2 Drawings

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry this post is so overdue. I don’t know why, but I didn’t get to finish posting all my Inktober drawings. I began writing this post in October 2017, it was burred in my drafts and was never published. So, here it is, my last post for my Inktober 2017 drawings. Published in January 2018. *sigh* On week two, I still used a black gel pen and black ball point pen for the line art and shading. I wanted to try using colored markers for this week’s drawings, but I realized I really love using the gel pen for the line art and the ball point…
