• Girl With the Fancy Hair Pencil Drawing

I’ve been really bad about drawing this past month (Too busy), but I was able to draw a new drawing!   This drawing, called Girl with the Fancy Hair No. 2, was done for the intention for sale in my Etsy store. So far it has yet to be listed, but once I reopen the store it should be listed. Unless someone I know wants it before I can list it. Then they can own it! XD This is the second drawing I’ve done of a “girl with fancy hair” so it’s number 2. The first drawing can be seen here and should be listed eventually on Etsy too. The…

  • Sketchbook Saturday- Lovely Lady

Welcome to another post in my Sketchbook Saturday posts! This is the second to last post in this series because I’m running out of drawings I want to feature! XD I might bring it back once I find more drawings, but for now it’s the second to last post. Today’s drawing is what I call The Lovely Lady… I had trouble naming this drawing. Usually like to name drawings like this after the inspiration I used for it. The problem is the clothing cannot be pinned to a certain time period. There’s 18th century side pockets under the dress, but parts of the dress have more of a Regency, Victorian,…

  • Sketchbook Saturday- Pondering Elf

Another Saturday, another post in my Sketchbook Saturday series! Today’s sketch is of an Elf… The drawing was inspired by the elves and their costumes from The Hobbit movies. I don’t remember much about this drawing, mostly because it’s been a while since I drew it. I do remember when The Lord of the Rings movies were in theaters, I drew elves. A lot. Since then I stopped drawing elves until The Hobbit movies came along. I still don’t draw elves like I did years ago, but I do see a difference in drawing style since then. Just part of me getting older and becoming a better artist!

  • Sketchbook Saturday- Victorian Striped Lady

Today’s sketch was done when I got some books of historical clothing for research. The book are of clothing in the Albert and Victoria Museum and ranged from the 1600’s though late 1890’s. While looking though the books, I found a dress that reminded me of a candy cane. It was a white dress with pink stripes on it. It’s a very pretty dress, but it’s not something I’d like to wear, even though my favorite color is pink! I still liked it, so I drew a woman wearing the dress… This drawing is more of a cartoon character than anything else. My art seems to be more like cartoon…

  • Sketchbook Saturday- Girl With Tesseract

Wow. I missed last week’s Sketchbook Saturday post by a while week. *sigh* That’s what happens when I’m busy with life. This week’s sketch isn’t a sketch. It’s really a completed drawing. Colored and everything. Yet for whatever reason, it never made it out of my sketch book until now. This drawing, called Girl With Tesseract, was made back in 2012 when Marvel’s The Avengers was in theaters. Around that time, I wanted to draw a girl with a bellowing cape and fly-away hair, but I imagined her holding something magical. Since I loved the movie, I added the Tesseract as a place keeper so I can draw her hands…

  • Sketchbooks Saturday- Lady with the Headband

For today’s sketchbook Saturday, I decided to feature a sketch I never talked about here on this blog, but posted on DevaintART. I have plenty of these sketches so this is one of many I’ll end up talking about on sketchbook Saturdays. Today’s sketch is a black and white drawing called Lady with the Headband. Click on the photo below to go to the DevaintART page. It’s been a while since I drew this drawing so I don’t remember the motive or inspiration behind drawing this picture. I do like drawing women especially when they wear pretty clothes and jewelry, mostly because I’m a sucker for pretty things. Although I…

  • Sketchbook Satruday- The Unfinished Elementalist

This post is a day late. Sorry about that! Had a little confusion over scheduling! XD For today’s Sketcbook Saturday, I decided to talk about a drawing I never finished of the Female Elementalist from the game Granado Espada. Last year I bought a Granado Espada art book and began to look thought it. I was already in love with one costume in particular from the game and was already working on making one for myself, but after looking thought the art book, I soon fell in love with others. Too many others. So many I began to decided to make even more costumes from the game, some more elaborate…
