Sketchbook Saturday- Lovely Lady
Welcome to another post in my Sketchbook Saturday posts! This is the second to last post in this series because I’m running out of drawings I want to feature! XD I might bring it back once I find more drawings, but for now it’s the second to last post.
Today’s drawing is what I call The Lovely Lady…
I had trouble naming this drawing. Usually like to name drawings like this after the inspiration I used for it. The problem is the clothing cannot be pinned to a certain time period. There’s 18th century side pockets under the dress, but parts of the dress have more of a Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian feel. Eh, face it. I wanted to make a pretty dress without being confined to a certain time period’s clothing. I love drawing pictures without being confined to a certain time period’s clothing. I can change the clothes to look the way I want them to look and the only requirement is that I have to like the result. That’s how I get my ideas for my original dresses!
