Wood DIY Ornaments from Michael’s Craft Store
Hi everyone! It may be October, but Christmas is coming soon. For the past few years, I’ve been collecting wood DIY ornaments from different places. Usually, my favorite places to shop for them is at Michael’s Craft Store and on Amazon. (The Joann closest to me doesn’t usually carry the DIY ornaments in the style I want them to be in) I began collecting these ornaments as a way of adding a more personal touch to my Christmas tree without spending a lot of money. After collecting these ornaments, I decided to start working on decorating them. Before I do, I wanted to show what the ornaments look like before…

A Few Craft Projects I’m Working on Right Now
Hi everyone! Writing posts about things I make is something I really enjoy doing. Yet, there are many things I work on but never talk about online. I usually do this because I don’t really like to talk about everything I do online. I also do this because I don’t always enjoy the way everything I make turns out and want to keep it online. Despite this, I sometimes work on things and feel very proud of them enough to talk about them online. Right now, I have several craft projects I’m working on but never mentioned online. After working on them, I feel very happy with the way they…

12 Days of Christmas Sewing Progress: Sew Simple Handmade Holiday Table Runner Kit Part 3
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I talked about the 12 Days of Christmas sewing! I’m disappointed I couldn’t work on or finish anything I started last year, but I’m hopeful I’ll be able to do this. In the meantime, I have another update for my holiday table runners I worked on as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Sewing projects last year. After sewing the top of the table runner, I pinned the batting and backing to the top with safety pins. I used black cotton from Walmart as the backing fabric and used the fabric for both table runners. After that was done, I began to…

Sewing Progress for May 24-28, 2021
During the last week of May, I thought I would be busy with work in the beginning of the week but it would slow down in mid week. Once my work slowed down, I planned to do more sewing. Unfortunately, that’s not how the week went. At mid week, once work slowed down, I began to have adulting problems. These problems, which included some air conditioner and vehicle problems, caused me to focus all my thoughts and energy on them instead of sewing. Since I was so distracted, I decided to compile five days of sewing progress into one post. I won’t talk about everything that happened that week, but…

Sewing Progress May 23, 2021- Christmas Dress Progress and Quilt Fabric Prep
After making so much sewing progress on May 22, I knew I would have trouble making more sewing progress the day after. I had some chores to do, so I wanted to focus on them instead of sewing. Despite this, I did make some sewing progress on my Christmas dress and prepared some fabric for a future Christmas quilt.

Sewing Progress for May 22, 2021- Fall Quilt and Christmas Dress
Through out the month of May, I tried to work on my sewing work in progress projects that I never got around to finish. I have so many of these that I’m very embarrassed to admit how many of them I need to work on. I did make progress with my sewing projects, but I didn’t make as large of a dent in my to-do list that I wanted to. So, on the second to last weekend in May, I decided to pick up my sewing projects and finish as many as I could before May 31. Even though I work from home, I knew I would have an easy…

12 Days of Christmas Sewing Progress: Sew Simple Handmade Holiday Table Runner Kit Part 2
Hi everyone! In my last 12 Days of Christmas Sewing Progress, I talked about my first project: Combining two table runner kits into two different table runners with longer length. At this point, I sewed the two top panels of the table runners together. Here is what the first table runner looks like… The fabric is plaid Christmas trees with a white background. This fabric is the original fabric for the top (Or fashion fabric) of the table runner. Since I wanted a longer table runner, I two the two panels and sew them together. I decided to flip the panels so the white plaid trees closest to the middle…

12 Days of Christmas Sewing Progress: Sew Simple Handmade Holiday Table Runner Kit Part 1
Hi everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I wrote about the 12 Days of Christmas Sewing. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can read about my plans in my post here. One of the first sewing projects I wanted to make as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Sewing are table runner kits I purchased last year but never had the time or energy to work on. While shopping for fabric in October 2019, I found holiday themed sewing kits. I purchased two sewing kits: A throw pillow sewing kit and a table runner sewing kit. Both kits are from Sew Simple’s Handmade Holiday line…

Planning for the 2020 12 Days of Christmas Sewing
It’s August, but I’m already planning for new Christmas themed sewing projects. This year, in an attempt to add more sewing YouTube videos to my channel, and hopefully gain more subscribers, I decided to do a themed video series. I decided this December to do a video series I’m calling 12 Days of Christmas Sewing. Each video will have Christmas themed sewing videos for 12 days straight. Although the sewing projects are Christmas themed, I planned to make the videos on a variety of sewing projects that can be used during the Christmas and New Year season. The projects I plant to make vary from decorations, gifts, and clothing I…

2016 Mall and Parade Christmas Decorations
Christmas is already over but, before January 2017 arrives tonight, I wanted to post photos I took of the Christmas decorations while at a local light parade and at the mall while doing last minute Christmas shopping!
