Blue Horse Watercolor Painting
For the past week I’ve been trying to get better about finishing sewing projects and drawings that sat for weeks, months, even years so I can finally put them away or sell them. Back in September (Or August?) I thought it would be a great idea to make some watercolor paintings to sell in my Etsy store, but they sat under a pile of stuff for months. While cleaning, I found my book of watercolor paintings, some half done, and figured I should finish the paintings right then and there. (The fact that I was tired of cleaning helped in this decision.) One of the finished paintings that I never…

Fire Horse Painting
I’m still practicing on getting better using Photoshop and I thought I’d try to use a transparent background for a new painting. I never made my art available for sale as t-shirts because I never knew how to work with a transparent background. This is because I didn’t know how to turn non-transparent background paintings to have a transparent background. I’m currently planning on learning, or practicing at least, how to do this in the near future, but for now I decided to get familiar working with a transparent background. One of the first paintings I did with a transparent background is a companion to my Princess Horse painting. This…

Sketchbook Saturday- The Princess and The Frog
Well, we’ve come to our last post in the Sketchbook Saturday post series! I’ve run out of drawings to feature, but that’s just for the sketch books I could find. I’ve been holding back this sketch for the last post because I’m still working on it. I was coloring it digitally, but due to computer problems, I had to stop. Then I lost the files. And it’s sat waiting for…

Halloween Witch

Fairy in Repose- Digital Painting
Earlier this year I painted a picture in Gimp of a fairy sitting in a chair, thinking. Well, I’m happy to announce that after a lot of work, I finished coloring it! Here’s how it looks…. As usual, clicking on the painting will take you to the deviantART submission of the same painting. I wanted the fabric of her dress to look like some organdy fabric I have in my fabric stash. The fabric I have is a different color than I made her dress look like, but I enjoyed using fabric I already have in my house as a reference. The painting almost didn’t get completely colored because I’ve…
