Thoughts on McCall’s, Butterick, Kwik Sew, and Vogue Pattern’s 2020 Rebranding
Hi everyone! Recently, while browsing for new McCall’s, Butterick, and Vogue sewing patterns, I discovered I completely rebranded themselves. The rebranding started in early 2020 before the shut downs due to the Covd-19/Coronavirus pandemic with McCall’s. McCall’s new sewing patterns had a new style of logo and look to the front of the envelopes. I wanted to write a post about it, but I was too distracted with the shut downs, the pandemic, and my own health concerts to focus enough to write one. McCall’s 8029 Work In Progress Thoughts and Photographs
Well, I’m in the process of making McCall’s 8029 and, even though I would like to make a YouTube video about how I made this pattern, I wanted to sit down and write a post about my sewing progress. McCall’s 8029 is a sewing pattern that makes a cape and belt. I decided to make the cape and belt out of two different fabric designs, using a black and white fleece for the main body and grey fleece for the hood, belt, and contrasting parts of the cape. Although we’re over halfway through the month of January, I wanted to talk about my current sewing plans. I have too many sewing plans to talk at length about (And the piles of fabric I need to sew to prove it) but I have several sewing patterns I want to use to make them.
