League of Legends Pajama Party Star Guardian Lux Inspired Sewing Pattern

Hi everyone! Halloween is this week and, if you are a long-time reader of this blog, then you know I used to make costumes and go to conventions. For many years, I decided to not bother making costumes or go to conventions like I once did. I just needed to focus on other things and I didn’t feel motivated nor inspired to make costumes like I once had been. Also, the convention scene changed so much I didn’t want to go anymore. Especially in costume!

Despite this, I wanted to dabble in costume making again for years. The problem is I didn’t know what I wanted to make or work on. I wanted to invest money in buying fabric to make everyday clothing. Not costumes. So, I didn’t know where to focus my attention to.

A few years ago, I decided to try to jump into costumes again by buying myself a sewing pattern from Etsy. There are many digital download costume patterns available to purchase on Etsy and I have looked at them many times over the years. I finally decided to buy a plethora of patterns in the hope owning them will make me feel more motivated to make them. Years later, it hasn’t motivated me, but I happy to own them.

One of the patterns I purchased is one to make League of Legends Pajama Star Guardian Lux.

Here is what the pattern pieces look like when I was cutting them out a few years ago…

The pattern is from PretzlCosplay on Etsy. (Her shop is located here) As of October 2024, the pattern is still available to purchase. The pattern includes the pattern for Lux’s pajamas (Top and bottom), slippers, and props.

One of the props include her wand. This is what the pattern looks like taped together…

Sadly, I taped the pattern together, put it away, and that’s how it sat for the past two years. Making this costume was one of my sewing projects for this year. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to. My life has changed quite a bit this year, causing me to focus on other things that have nothing to do with sewing.

Even though I have been planning on making this costume for two years, I plan on working on it next year. I don’t think I will keep this blog up to date about making this costume, mostly because of the amount of setbacks I keep experiencing. Still, I am trying to stay optimistic about making it before Halloween next year!

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
