Red Pickup Truck Quilt Panel- What It (Kind of) Looks Like and Plans
Hi everyone! A few years ago, I had an idea to make myself wall hangings out of fabric. The plan was to buy fabric panels for quilting and turn them into wall hangings. I have already mentioned this before in previous posts (You can read about one of them here). Although I started working on them, I never finished all the wall hangings I had planned. They have since sat around and waited until I have time to work on them. Right now I’m in the process of prioritizing my sewing and other DIY projects. This is when I came across all my fabric panels. After some thought, I decided…

Space Themed Cotton Fabric- What the Fabric Looks Like & Plans
Hi everyone! Since I published my last post, I’m still trying to use Canva as my blog photo editing software program. It’s been interesting to say the least and I’m still slow about editing the photographs. For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to edit photographs for posts. That hasn’t worked out as I hoped it would. So, I’m going to start publishing posts about the fabric I’ve been collecting for a few years. My plan is to talk about the fabric and what I plan on doing with them. I finished editing the photographs for these posts before I started to have software problems. The first of these…

The Navy and Yellow Log Cabin Quilt- The Completed Quilt
Hi everyone! After a bad month of setbacks and other problems, I finally have some time to write the last post about my navy and yellow log cabin quilt! Months ago, I finished quilting and binding the quilt. As of this post the turquoise and grey quilt still needs to be quilted, so I won’t be able to talk about this quilt’s sister in a post for a while.

Discovering One of My Favorite Photogenic Cacti Has Died- Cactus 2
Hi everyone! Well, the time has come to talk about a second cactus that has died. This time, it is a saguaro cactus. This cactus was my favorite saguaro cactus to take sunset photographs of during the late fall, winter, and early spring. The sun would be perfectly positioned behind it, making the best sunset photographs. Earlier this year, I discovered the cactus had finally died. I wasn’t surprised it died because it looked like it has issues for the past three or so years. Still, it made me upset and very sad to see that it has finally passed away.

Snowy Mountain Scene Embroidery Update- The Finished Project and Thoughts on It
Hi everyone! It’s been months since I published a post about my embroidery. So far progress has been slow on all my embroidery kits. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to finish all my kits, but I know now it will take me some time. In the mean time, I decided to talk about the progress I made so far. I am happy to report that the kit I worked on first is now officially done!

The Navy and Yellow Log Cabin Quilt- Changing One of The Fabrics and How It Looks Now
Hi everyone! It’s been a month or so since I published a post about the navy and yellow log cabin quilt. Between the last post I made and this post, I haven’t been able to finish the turquoise and grey log cabin quilt. Even though the turquoise and grey quilt is not done, the navy and yellow quilt is! In this post, I wanted to talk about my decision to change one of the navy fabrics in my quilt and how it turned out. EDIT: I used two different watermarks in these photographs. One is for this blog, essieofwho.com, while the other one has the watermark I use for…

Discovering One of My Favorite Photogenic Cacti Has Died- Cactus 1
Hi everyone! Well, this post isn’t a very happy one. I discovered earlier this year one of my favorite cacti I would take photographs of has died. This isn’t the only cactus I loved to take photographs of that has died, but it is the first I want to talk about.

The Navy and Yellow Log Cabin Quilt- The Cut Strips and Block Sewing Progress
Hi everyone! It’s time to talk about a new quilt! Earlier this year, I began to work on another log cabin quilt using navy (Or blue depending on the fabric) and yellow fabric. I talked about this fabric in a previous post here. As of the publishing of this post, the blocks are finished, the quilting is finished, and the binding is finished. Like with my Turquoise and Grey quilt, I was worried about problems I would run into while making it. Unlike the Turquoise and Grey quilt, the Navy and Yellow quilt had a major problem. Explaining what happened and how I fixed it will take some time to…
