Florence, Arizona Home Tour- February 2018- Part 20
After examining my photographs from the home tour, I didn’t like the photographs I took of the outside exhibits at the Pinal County Historical Museum and decided to not post them. Because of this, I will pick up my exhibit photographs with the exhibits located in the entry way of the museum building.
Here is the exhibit dedicated to the celebrity grand marshals of the Florence Junior Parada Parade…
One of the best known celebrities that served as grand marshal of the parade is Roy Rogers. I don’t remember if anything he donated was on display at that time, but they did have other items other celebrity grand marshals donated to the museum. Since I went on this tour in 2018 and I didn’t take photographs of the exhibits and who donated them, I don’t remember who donated what. I really wish I did though. 🙁
Across from the Junior Parada Parade exhibit is an exhibit of Florence citizens that served in World War II. Here are some of the clothing that was on display…
I am always amazed at how small people where back then. I’m above average height, but even when I was a teen and still growing I was still taller than how tall they were.
A piano from the Clarke House…
This piano was donated many years ago to the museum.
A blue dress…
I’m afraid I don’t remember much about this dress including the decade it is from.
An exhibit of a late Victorian/Edwardian room with clothing…
Close up of the skirt and shirt…
Close up of the wedding dress…
Here is another outfit from the same exhibit. It wasn’t in previous photographs because it was in the corner and farther away from the rest of the dresses…
It kind of reminds me of Mary Poppins’ costume from the 1960’s movie with Julie Andrews.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
