Winter Deer Scene Embroidery Kit Progress: Finished Deer and Some Green Embroidery
Hi everyone! It’s time for another progress post for the Winter Deer Scene Embroidery Kit. I already mentioned in my previous posts about this kit (You can read them here and here) but I worked on this kit months ago. While I worked on it, I took progress photographs of the kit for various reasons. I decided to wait until the holiday season to publish posts about my embroidery progress and other thoughts I have of the kit.
In this post, I will focus on the deer embroidery and other progress I made at that time.
This is what the embroidery looked like beside the master picture and color code included in the kit…

Here is a better picture of the embroidery by itself…

I decided early on to change the type of embroidery floss I use for this design. I really didn’t like the floss it came with, so I used J & J Coats floss I already own. I’m really happy with my decision, but this also meant I needed to color match all the kit’s floss with my own. In the case of the deer, I didn’t have the right colors. So, I decided to mix some of the floss colors together and embroider them together as one. I also decided to make one deer lighter colored than the other.
Sadly, I don’t have any close up photographs of the embroidery for the deer. I will have a close up photograph of the deer in my completed embroidery post.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
