Knitting and Crocheting Books I Like at Michael’s Crafts
This past month has been a busy one for me. Despite this, I tried to keep optimistic that I will be able to finish my sewing and knitting projects I want to. During a trip to Michael’s Crafts store, I found knitting and crocheting books that I liked. I didn’t purchase anything books on the day I shopped at Michael’s, but I did take photographs of the books so I could remember them. Some of the books I want more than others, but I still wanted to share them in a post.

My Current Sewing Clothing Plans for 2021- Style of Clothes, Fit, Ect.
Years ago, I used to talk about how my dress size and weight affected the fit of any clothes I made myself. It’s been a while since I talked about this and, since I’m getting back into sewing myself clothes, I wanted to talk about the kind of sewing patterns and clothing styles I’m currently looking for and decided to make myself this year. For the past few years, I struggled with loose skin after a lengthy illness. Even though I’m quite fit, the loose skin was cause by the illness and took time to heal. My skin is healing very nicely, but it’s been slow and a struggle to…

Why I’m Interested in Candle Making
Hi everyone! Recently, while sitting at home trying to think of ways of reducing my allergic reaction to certain allergens, I remembered certain scented candles trigger my allergies. Like many people with allergies, I struggle finding candle fragrances I love that do not trigger my allergies. I’m fortunate that my allergies are not as bad as others I know, but I still have my struggles. One of my major problems with candles is not always the fragrances, but the candle wax. One of my allergies is to soy. This is a problem because if I burn a soy candle, I’ll have an allergic reaction. Because of this, I got rid…

Velvet Yarn Grey Knitted Scarf
Weather in Arizona is warming up and that means I need to put away my winter clothing. Before I put all my winter clothing away, I wanted to share my new scarf that I knitted in December. While shopping at Michael’s for yarn, I found velvet yarn. I wanted a sweater made out of velvet yarn, so I picked up a few skeins to make sweaters out of. In addition to the yarn for the sweaters, I picked up some grey yarn that I planned to make a scarf and beanie out of. The original plans for the scarf and beanie fell through, so I made up my own scarf…

Why I Picked Up Knitting and Crocheting & What My Goals Are for 2020
A few years ago, out of the blue, I started to knit up a frenzy. My family members didn’t understand why I suddenly became so passionate about knitting and looked at my new found hobby as a phase I’ll eventually become to frustrated to continue. This only got worse when I talked about one day picking up crochet, with family members openly talking about how bad I was at committing to a goal and how I needed to get a real life, a real job, and stop pretending that I don’t have a care in the world. As you can imagine, I’m still hurt by their comments, but at that…
