Knitting and Crocheting Books I Like at Michael’s Crafts

This past month has been a busy one for me. Despite this, I tried to keep optimistic that I will be able to finish my sewing and knitting projects I want to. During a trip to Michael’s Crafts store, I found knitting and crocheting books that I liked. I didn’t purchase anything books on the day I shopped at Michael’s, but I did take photographs of the books so I could remember them. Some of the books I want more than others, but I still wanted to share them in a post.

The first book I liked is Way Knit Dishcloths…

I have some yarn that I purchased for a sweater that I never used. It turned out the yarn is for dish cloths, not sweaters. So, I would like to make some dish cloths out of my yarn. This book caught my eye because it is supposed to have dishcloth patterns that are easy to knit. I’m not sure if I will actually purchase it, but I know I will need to seriously look into finding a knitting pattern sooner than later.

The next book I liked is 1,000 Japanese Knit & Crochet Stitches…

Friends of mine own the Japanese knitting stitch books that they love and adore. My friends are skilled knitters that can make their own knitting patterns using the books. After looking at their books, I decided I need to purchase at least one. I would like to make my own patterns in the future, but right now I don’t have the time to create any new patterns. 1,000 Japanese Knitting and Crochet Stitches is one of the books I’m seriously looking into purchasing.

The next book I liked is 280 Japanese Lace Stitches…

The other book I’m looking into purchasing that was available at Michael’s is this one. Between the 1,000 Knitting and Crocheting Stitches and this book, I would buy this book first. I like it more because it is for knitting only, not crocheting. I want a book that I can use quite a lot. I’m still not as skilled in crochet as I am knitting, so I would prefer to buy a knitting book more than a knitting and crochet book.

The next book I like is Mini Kingdom…

Out of all the books I found at Michael’s I liked, this book is the one I will likely buy last. It has the patterns to make 36 mini figurines, called Amigurmi. The figures are fairy tales and fantasy characters. I love it a lot (The figurines are so cute!) but right now, I want to buy knitting books more than crocheting.

The next book I liked is Pokemon Crochet…

Like already said, I want to buy knitting books before crochet books. Despite this, I really want this book. I want to buy a crochet book to encourage myself to get better. A book full of crochet patterns to make Pokemon characters is the kind of book I’m looking for!

The next book I liked is Star Wars: Knitting the Galaxy…

I really want knitting books inspired by movies or TV shows, but I still feel on the fence about the Star Wars book. I like it a lot and there are plenty of cute projects to make, but I don’t know if I will use what I knit. I think there are other books with patterns with items I can use more than in Star Wars: Knitting the Galaxy. Even though I’m not sure if I will use the book, I still think the book has a lot of potential and would be worth at least a browse of it if you are interested in it!

The last book I liked is Harry Potter: Knitting Magic…

Unlike the Star Wars book, this book has plenty of knitting projects I know I will make and use. I will probably change the colors of certain projects in order to make them fit with my style, but there are so many that I won’t. (The house scarf pattern being one of them!) I’m really hopeful to add this book to my small but growing knitting book collection before the end of this year!
