Snowy Mountain Scene Embroidery Update- The Finished Project and Thoughts on It
Hi everyone! It’s been months since I published a post about my embroidery. So far progress has been slow on all my embroidery kits. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to finish all my kits, but I know now it will take me some time. In the mean time, I decided to talk about the progress I made so far. Hi everyone! I don’t normally talk about stores or brands and their business dealings, but I feel like I need to talk about JoAnn’s most recent bankruptcy filing. In 2024, JoAnn filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I used to mention the JoAnn store many times in my sewing posts, but I stopped because I started to not shop there for fabric or DIY supplies. Sewing Ties to a Duvet Cover: Why It Didn’t Have Ties and How I Fixed It
Hi everyone! I decided to use a duvet instead of a comforter earlier this year. So far I like the duvet over a comforter. Not only can I change the thickness of the insert, I can use the same duvet cover for both inserts. A while ago, I found a duvet cover on Amazon. Hi everyone! Well, it’s almost Christmas and I’ve been pretty busy. Even though I’ve been busy, I was able to finish the sign! As of this publishing of this post, it is currently hanging up in my house as part of my Christmas decor. Since it is in use, I decided to take a photograph of the sign hanging on the wall.

Christmas Tree Farm Wood DIY Sign- Ruff Background Paint and Second Thoughts About Color Schemes
Hi everyone! I made some progress painting the Christmas Tree Farm sign. After my second thoughts staining the edge of the sign, I decided to proceed forward in painting the sign. I wanted the stain to be a red tone and the background of the sign dark green. From there, I would paint the sign’s wording and other decorations on it. Since the stain was more purple berry colored than red, I didn’t know if the green background would clash with the stain color. Even though I was worried, I decided to proceed forward in painting the background.

Hi everyone! Last year, I purchased a DIY Christmas Tree Farm wood sign from Michael’s Crafts. At that time, signs advertising Christmas trees meant something special to me. (And no, it doesn’t have to do with Taylor Swift’s song!) I saw the sign multiple times when I would shop at Michael’s. I really liked it more than other finished signs, so I decided to purchase it and decorate it myself. Even though I started working on it last year, I finished it this year. My New Knitted Dish Cloths and What I Think About them
Hi everyone! I have another finished knitting project to show and talk about! Last year, I decided to knit myself dishcloths. I knitted dish clothes before, but it’s been a while since I did. I knew I would be under a lot of stress in the later half of last year and earlier this year, so I wanted an easy to knit project that comes together fast and allows me to knit while doing something else, such as watch TV.
