Spring Cactus Blossom Close Up Part 2- Spring 2023

Hi everyone! I needed to take a break from posting for Easter and to focus on things that were going on in my life at that time.

Even though it is April, I haven’t found any cactus that have blossomed. The ones I am the most focused on taking photographs of is the Engelmann’s Hedgehog Cactus (Echinocereus Engelmannii). Usually these cacti will bloom this month, but I have yet to find any that have bloomed. Even though I haven’t taken photographs of this year’s blooms like I planned, I still have photographs I took from last year.

In this post are close ups of a hedgehog cactus that bloomed last year. I love the purple blossoms on this cactus. This is why I love taking photographs of this cactus!
