Earlier this week, I talked about the Ironwood tree blossom photographs I took this past spring. For today’s post, I wanted to share the Ironwood blossom photographs that I converted to black and white.
The photographs in this post are the last photographs I took of the 2018 spring blossoms. I’m sad I do not have more to share, but I’m happy I have photographs of the blossoms I feel comfortable sharing on my blog!
For the last few weeks, I talked about the photos I took of peach tree and Saguaro blossoms. This week, I wanted to share the last set photographs I took of 2018 spring blossoms.
The last set of photographs are of Ironwood tree blossoms. Normally, the Ironwood trees near my home do not blossom as much as they did this year. Every single Ironwood tree I saw was covered in lavender purple blossoms. They were so beautiful and I’m so happy I got to see them and take photos of the blossoms! Hi everyone! Earlier this week, I shared the photos I took of the blossoms on peach tree near my house. For today’s post, I wanted to share the black and white version of all the blossom photos I took.
Hi everyone! It’s time for the yearly post of all the peach tree blossom flower photos I took this year! It was hard to take photos of the blossoms this year because the blossoms are very late. Normally the blossoms come in February, March at the latest, but this year they didn’t come until April. The amount of time I could take photos of the blossoms was very short as well, but I was able to get some very nice photos of the blossoms!
Hi everyone! This is the last post of 2017 and I don’t know were the time has gone. For this post, I wanted to share one last set of photos I took in 2017 that I converted from color to black and white. These photos are of the peach blossoms I took very early this year. The colored version of the peach blossom photographs can be seen in a post I wrote here.
Here are the photographs…
Editing these photos was fairly easy. They converted to black and white without too much fuss. In fact, the only thing I needed to do was adjust the contrast before they looked the way I wanted them to.
Although editing the photos was easy, I realized some of the flowers are blurry. I don’t know why I never noticed how blurry some of the photos are, but I noticed them now.
Well, this means it’s the end of my 2017 posts! I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season and a very happy new year!
I was so busy earlier this year that I forgot to post photos of this year’s peach tree blossoms!
Since the temperatures in Arizona were unseasonably warm, the peach trees bloomed a month early. Other plants bloomed early as well, but the peach trees where the ones that drew the most attention from bees, butterflies, beetles, and even a hummingbird. Although I was unable to take pictures of all the animals visiting the peach trees, I still have some very nice pictures of the blossoms!
Since I took so many pictures of the blossoms, I’m posting a few here. The rest can be found in my Flickr albums for February 2016 and Mach 2016 nature photos. Since I normally put all the nature photos I took during that particular month in the albums, you will probably see photos of different blossoms and sunset photos in it. Enjoy the photos!
To make a long story short, I missed photographing the cactus blossoms this year. And I’m also missing photographing the saguaro blossoms as well, so in order to make up for the lack of blossom photos, I’ll show you some photos I took back in February.
It’s that time of year when I make a post of all the flowers and blossoms I find near my house. The plants began to blossom a few weeks ago, but they slowly began to get more and more flowers. Since I’m not sure how much they’ll blossom this year, I decided to take photos before they either fall off or the plants die.
I’m sure there will be other plants blossoming in the future but I’m not sure when that will happen. Once it happens, I’ll take more photos and make another post with the new photos.
All the photos in this post was taken on March 6, 2015. (Thus why this post is “The March 6th Version”) All the photos are linked from Flickr and, when clicked on, the photos will take you to the photo on Flickr.
I only got photos of two blossoms near my house. The first blossom the brittle bush blossoms…
And the last are the peach tree blossoms…
As you can see, I took more photos of the peach tree blossoms compared to the brittle bush blossoms. This is because the brittle bush are still sparse with blossoms compared to the peach trees. The peach trees always have more blossoms, but I was hoping the brittle bushes would have more blossoms than they have right now. Maybe next week they’ll be in full bloom.
I’m also waiting for the cactus to blossom. The saguaros don’t blossom till May but there are barrel and other cactus that bloom earlier in the year. I saw one cactus starting to grow buds, but the growing has been slow so I don’t expect them to flower for at least a good two weeks. Maybe a little longer.
Well, that’s about it for my blossom photos from March 6th! Thank you for reading!
Believe it or not, I did find the time to take photos of more blossoms around my house! I’m kind of shocked by this because I decided to ignore my sewing, drawing, other crafts, and my normal job to go for long walks in the desert. (I was actually procrastinating, but hey! I’ve got pretty photos out of it! XD)
Unlike with my first post, I don’t know all the names of the plants I took photos of. I did take photos of a saguaro cactus that is blossoming a month early. I thought this was a problems for that particular cactus only, but after taking more walks I found more saguaros that are growing blossoms a month early. I’m unsure what that means, and the people I know that know about desert plants aren’t sure what that means. I hope it means the cactus detect cooler weather is coming soon, but I don’t think that will happen. I can’t help but hope! 😀
So far I haven’t submitted my photos to any of my print shop accounts and I’m unsure if I will. (We’ll see) Some of the photographs will be come fabric designs, but for now they’re not for sale right now.
