Walk Around Main Street in Florence, Arizona- February 17, 2018- North Main Street Part 2

I’m almost done with my posts of the Main Street area in Florence, Arizona! Although I have one more post after this one, I’m so happy to finish this series. Trying to remember everything I did on that day two years ago is frustrating. It wasn’t a very exciting day (The street was pretty dead because it was a Sunday) and all I really did was take photographs and go home.

Anyway, onto part 2 of the photographs I took of North Main Street! All the photographs in this post are around the street corners of 6th Street and Main and Ruggles Street and Main.

The first place I took photographs of in this post is the Silver Kind Hotel…

It no longer serves as a hotel, but it is used as a place for businesses to operate out of. Because of this, it is called the Silver King Market Place.

The next place I took photographs of is the McFarland State Park…

Across the street from it is the post office. It’s not a historical building, but since it’s part of the buildings on the street corners, it’s worth mentioning.

Here is the official sign for the historic downtown section of the town. It’s located next to the Silver King Market Place…

And here is the official sign designating the Silver King Hotel building as a historical site…

And finally, here is the American Legion building…

I know I didn’t give as much descriptions about each building, but I really don’t have a lot to discuss about the history of these buildings.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
