Log Cabin Quilt Fabric from Walmart- Yellow and Navy Color Scheme

Hi everyone! As I write this post, I am on a sewing hand break. I needed one badly! Even though I am on a break, I am still thinking of sewing more things. Included in my post-break sewing list are dresses, new PJs, and a new coat. One of the things I didn’t add on my list are quilts.

I didn’t plan on making any more quilts until after I finish my pink and green log cabin quilt. I was fully committed to not looking for fabric for a future quilt until I discovered my local Walmart has their fabric on sale. For over a year, I’ve been looking at the fabric and thinking of what types of fabric I want to make a quilt out of. Since the colors I wanted to buy were on sale for clearance, I decided it was the right time to buy the fabric for a future quilt.

The first color scheme I wanted to make is a yellow and navy blue log cabin quilt. Here are all the fabric I purchased for the quilt…

I bought more fabric than what I pictured for the quilt, but these are all the fabric designs I purchased for the quilt.

The pattern I will be using to make the quilt is one I found on a blog. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the blog’s name at the time of writing this post! The reason why I decided to use a different log cabin quilt pattern than the one I used to make my pink and green log cabin quilt is because the new pattern uses less fabric designs than my old pattern does. There wasn’t as many designs to pick from at the time I bought the fabric, so using a log cabin quilt pattern with less fabric design variations is a very important for me!

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
