  • I Found More NASA Fat Quarters at Walmart…

    April 23, 2026 /

Hi everyone! During a recent shopping trip at Walmart, I decided to stop by the fabric section to see what type of fabrics are available to buy. That’s when I found out the Walmart I was shopping at has fat quarters with a NASA design on it. When I saw it, I was both happy and a little annoyed. I’m happy to see the fabric back in stock. I like the fabric and wanted to buy a few fat quarters (Or a yard or so depending on the availability) for my stash, but the store didn’t carry it for quite some time.

  • The Navy and Yellow Scrap Quilt- The Basis Blocks and Why I’m Making Another Quilt

    March 11, 2026 /

Hi everyone! Some time ago, I wrote a series of posts about how I made a navy and yellow log cabin quilt. After the quilt was finished, I had fabric left over. I’m trying to not throw away as much cotton fabric as possible, so I decided to make a scrap quilt using the leftover pieces of fabric.

  • Mansfield Park Gate Quilt Kit by Riley Blake Designs

    February 10, 2026 /

Hi everyone! Last year, I decided to buy some of Riley Blake Designs’ Jane Austen collection. The collection is a quilting fabric collection inspired by Jane Austen and her novels. The collection includes fat quarters, pre cut strips, and quilt kits. I already own three of the kits in the collection. (I talked about them here, here, here, and here) I like them a lot and planned on not purchasing any more kits from the collection. (They can be really expensive, hard to find, and I don’t always like the designs they create) Last year, after searching for the kits to make sure I really don’t want to own them,…

  • All The Waverly 1 Yard Pre Cut Coordinating Fabric Designs I Don’t Have Projects For

    November 12, 2025 /

Hi everyone! While going through the photographs I uploaded onto this blog to use for posts, I found some photographs of Waverly fabric I purchased at Walmart. I could clearly tell intended on using for a future post. The problem is I don’t know what the sewing projects are! I decided that if I don’t use them for a post, I’ll delete them so there will be more space for other photographs. After a lot of thought, I decided to use all the photographs in one big post, showing off the fabrics, how well they coordinate with each other, and what I probably was thinking of using them for.

  • Disney x Thomas Kinkade Mickey and Minnie Mouse Quilt Panel- Fabric and Future Plans

    November 10, 2025 /

Hi everyone! A few years ago, I noticed the Walmart location I normally shop at had a fabric panel for sale. It is part of the Disney x Thomas Kinkade collection. It features Micky and Minnie Mouse on a picnic, as depicted by Thomas Kinkade Studios. I really liked this panel, but I thought I didn’t need another fabric panel to work on. After walking by it for many months, I decided to purchase it and a coordinating fabric to create a wall hanger.

  • Romantic Scrappy Block Quilt- The Fabric and Cutting Out the Pieces

    November 7, 2025 /

Hi everyone! A few months ago, I decided to buy fabric from Walmart to make myself new quilts. I had my eye on certain fabric colors and designs as well as fat quarter bundles. After taking them home, I decided to start sewing the quilts. Sadly, my life became very busy very quickly. So, I set them aside to focus on more important matters. While searching through my blog post drafts, I found the photographs of the progress I made making one of the quilts. I called the quilt the Romantic Scrappy Block Quilt due to the fabric colors and designs as well as the design I want to make…

  • Red Pickup Truck Quilt Panel- What It (Kind of) Looks Like and Plans

    November 7, 2025 /

Hi everyone! A few years ago, I had an idea to make myself wall hangings out of fabric. The plan was to buy fabric panels for quilting and turn them into wall hangings. I have already mentioned this before in previous posts (You can read about one of them here). Although I started working on them, I never finished all the wall hangings I had planned. They have since sat around and waited until I have time to work on them. Right now I’m in the process of prioritizing my sewing and other DIY projects. This is when I came across all my fabric panels. After some thought, I decided…

  • Hobby Lobby Fall Cotton Fabric and My Problems Working it Into A Quilt

    November 7, 2025 /

Hi everyone! During my current great big clean out, (In which I’m cleaning out all the stuff I’ve collected over the years but never had the time nor the energy to do so) I’ve been going through my fabric collection and decide which ones I keep and don’t keep. In the process, I find fabric that I bought, put away, and forgot. One of these fabrics is a cotton fall themed fabric I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

  • Space Themed Cotton Fabric- What the Fabric Looks Like & Plans

    October 28, 2025 /

Hi everyone! Since I published my last post, I’m still trying to use Canva as my blog photo editing software program. It’s been interesting to say the least and I’m still slow about editing the photographs. For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to edit photographs for posts. That hasn’t worked out as I hoped it would. So, I’m going to start publishing posts about the fabric I’ve been collecting for a few years. My plan is to talk about the fabric and what I plan on doing with them. I finished editing the photographs for these posts before I started to have software problems. The first of these…
