The Patriotic Scrappy Quilt- The Fabric Choices

Hi everyone! The 4th of July is tomorrow! I’m excited to have a day off work. I’m also planning on eating steak and watching fireworks.

This year, I planned on making a patriotic quilt. I bought the fabric and had a plan for it, but I didn’t move forward with it. Now that it’s the 4th of July, I’m a little disappointed I didn’t start on my quilt and can use it in my decor this year. Even though I’m disappointed, I wanted to share my plans in a post before I move forward with making the quilt.

Here is what the fabric I picked for my quilt looks like together…

All the fabric I bought is from Walmart. I bought one precut yarn of a patriotic printed cotton…

And three pre cut one yard solid fabrics in a dark burgundy, off white, and dark navy…

The idea is to make a scrappy quilt. I plan on cutting the fabric into at least two different sizes and sew them together. I haven’t determined the size the pieces will be, which is why I didn’t take the fabric out of the packaging. It will be an easy quilt for me to make, so I’m planning on making the quilt soon.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
