Creating a Throw Pillow Case Out of Extra Turquoise and Grey Scrap Quilt Blocks
Hi everyone! In last week’s post about the turquoise and grey scrap quilt I was making, I mentioned I had one block left over from sewing the quilt top. Prior to working on the quilt, I decided that if I had any extra quilt blocks, I would turn them into throw pillow covers. Since I had one extra block for this quilt, I decided it would be be perfect to incorporate into a throw pillow cover!

The Turquoise and Grey Scrap Quilt- Plans for the Blocks
Hi everyone! While working on my turquoise and grey log cabin quilt, I began to realize I was getting too annoyed and frustrated about quilting it. In order to reset my brain (And to make me feel better about my sewing abilities) I began to take all the scrap fabric from making the top and began to sew a scrap quilt out of it. I decided to make it the same way as the navy and yellow scrap quilt. For that quilt, which I talked about here on this blog in posts here, here, and here, I cut the remaining fabric from creating the log cabin block design and made…

I Found More NASA Fat Quarters at Walmart…
Hi everyone! During a recent shopping trip at Walmart, I decided to stop by the fabric section to see what type of fabrics are available to buy. That’s when I found out the Walmart I was shopping at has fat quarters with a NASA design on it. When I saw it, I was both happy and a little annoyed. I’m happy to see the fabric back in stock. I like the fabric and wanted to buy a few fat quarters (Or a yard or so depending on the availability) for my stash, but the store didn’t carry it for quite some time.

Space Scrap Quilt Progress: The Full Sized Blocks
Hi everyone! This is the last post of my Space Scrap Quilt featuring old progress photographs! Just as a reminder, the quilt top is complete, but it still needs to be quilted and sew a binding to it. I will talk more about that in my next quilt post. For this post, I want to show what the blocks looked like at their full size.

Then it will be done! Anyway, I still have some old progress photographs I never shared on this blog. So, I decided to share some of them in this post. There will be another post after this one with old progress photographs before I talk about the finished quilt top.

The Space Quilt Progress- Sewing Some of the Blocks
Hi everyone! It’s time for a progress post about the space quilt I made earlier this year! As of this post, I finished the top of the quilt, but have yet to quilt and bind the edges. Because I finished the quilt top, I wanted to talk in hindsight about the progress I made while sewing it. In this post, I want to focus on talking about the cutting and sewing of the cut fabric squares and rectangles.

The Strips and Potential Additional Fabric for My Space Quilt
Hi everyone! Last week, the Artemis II mission ended. Even though I was really worried about the astronauts, I was really excited to see it from beginning to end. I am also really happy that everything went as smoothly as it did! Prior to the beginning of the Artemis II mission, I decided to use my space themed cotton fabric in my stash to make a space themed quilt. I bought them a while ago but never used them. They came in fat quarter bundles and are great for making a quilt. I also talked about them in a previous post here. When it was publicly announced that the Artemis…
