I Found More NASA Fat Quarters at Walmart…

Hi everyone! During a recent shopping trip at Walmart, I decided to stop by the fabric section to see what type of fabrics are available to buy. That’s when I found out the Walmart I was shopping at has fat quarters with a NASA design on it.

When I saw it, I was both happy and a little annoyed. I’m happy to see the fabric back in stock. I like the fabric and wanted to buy a few fat quarters (Or a yard or so depending on the availability) for my stash, but the store didn’t carry it for quite some time.

As for why I’m a little annoyed, it is because I’m working on a scrap quilt that is space themed. I had a fat quarter in my collection and I used it in the quilt. As of the publishing of this post, I am publishing posts about the quilt and I have finished the quilt top. I wanted more NASA fat quarters for my quilt, but I didn’t find any more. So, I used the fat quarter in the quilt and just let it be. Now that the fabric is back in stock, I wish I waited to make the quilt so I could purchase more of it.

Even though I’m annoyed about this, I made the quilt in due to my excitement for the Artemis II mission. So, waiting for the NASA fat quarters to come back into stock would have caused me to miss out on making the quilt before the Artemis II mission starts. I just think of it as something that is inevitable and if this fabric was supposed to be in my quilt, it would’ve been available to purchase. (I know I could have purchase the fabric from another source, but I purchased my fabric from a specific Walmart for personal, symbolic reasons)

Now that the fabric is available again, I plan on purchasing more fat quarters for a future quilt. I would like to make another quilt, this time for the Artemis III mission. I don’t have a quilt planned for the Artemis I mission, but since I’m making plans for a future quilt for the Artemis III mission, I think I would like to make one for the Artemis I mission as well. I need to think about it, but I still want to use the NASA fat quarters at Walmart for the Artemis III mission for my quilt.

Next time I’m at Walmart, I will be purchasing a couple of fat quarters for the future quilt. Well, I’ll purchase them unless the fabric is sold out. There weren’t many fat quarters available to buy that day! I think other people are excited about the Artemis II mission as well!
