Space Scrap Quilt Progress: The Full Sized Blocks
Hi everyone! This is the last post of my Space Scrap Quilt featuring old progress photographs! Just as a reminder, the quilt top is complete, but it still needs to be quilted and sew a binding to it. I will talk more about that in my next quilt post.
For this post, I want to show what the blocks looked like at their full size.
Here is what one of the blocks look like with one of the 2 1/2 x 5 inch pieces of NASA fabric in it…

And here is what one with a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch piece of NASA fabric in it…

I was worried about how the NASA fabric would look with the rest of the quilt fabric, but I actually like how it turned out. The fabric blends well with the colors of the fat quarters I picked. Even the longer strips of NASA fabric look good along side the rest of the fabric designs.
Finally, just for reference, this is what a quilt block looked like without the NASA fabric in it…

I didn’t have enough fabric for every quilt block to have a piece of NASA fabric in it. So, I let some of the blocks go without it. I think they still looked really good though!
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
