A Serious Talk About My Desert Photography and Why I My Need to Stop Taking Them
It’s been a while since I posted photographs I took in the Arizona desert. For many years, these photographs have always been a part of my blog. Even though I still enjoy taking photographs of the desert, things have changed a lot and there is a likelihood I will no longer be able to take photographs of the desert the way I used to. And it’s due to the area where I like to take photographs in.

The Difference Between Mesquite and Palo Verde Tree Blossoms
Hi everyone! Today’s post is going to be an odd one for this blog. Instead of talking about any of my hobbies that I liked to enjoy talking about online, I decided to write a short post about the differences between Mesquite and Palo Verde tree blossoms. I live in Arizona for a very long time and, despite this and the fact I took botany and agriculture classes focused on desert plants, some of the information I learned fell out of my head. One of the more embarrassing things I forgot is the difference between Mesquite and Palo Verde blossoms. The major driving force for why this happened is due…

Handmade Small Drawstring Bag
Hi everyone! I had photographs of a small drawstring bag I made a while ago, but I never talk about them in a post. If you are highly experienced sewer, you probably already know that making drawstring bags are very easy. I’m an experienced sewer, but its been quite some time since I made myself a drawstring bag. A while ago, I needed some new drawstring bags for storage, but I didn’t want to buy one. So, I started to make them in the size I wanted them to be,

5 Basic Things Artists Can Do To Prevent Art Theft Online
Hi everyone! Recently, I began to think about how someone can prevent art theft of their work. There are many worries that come with posting art online. Artist that use social media to promote their work are susceptible to art theft. Even though artists are worried about this, there are easy steps artist can take in order to prevent, or deter, art thieves from targeting them. Over the years, I learned simple (and kind of basic common sense) ways of showing ownership over my art and photographs. Even though there are more complicated ways to prevent art theft, here are five basic ways I try to prevent people from stealing…

Self Portrait Sketches- Spring 2021
In the fall of 2019, I decided to do a series of new sketches of myself to use as profile pictures. At that time, I cut a lot of my hair off due to damage from a long term illness I suffered from. Back then, I thought I would have enough time to focus on drawing again. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to sit down and draw until this spring. Since so much time has passed, my hair has grown long enough that there isn’t a huge difference between my hair’s length today and back then. Because of this, I didn’t need to draw a new profile picture,…

Photographs of the Finished Fall Quilt
Hi everyone! Well, I finally finished the binding on the fall quilt. Now that it is done, I wanted to show off the finished version of the quilt… After thinking about this quilt, I decided to turn it into a wall hanging decoration instead of a throw quilt. Despite this, I am going to wait a while before I create a way to hang the quilt on the wall. I’m currently thinking of different ways, but I would like to take my time to research and decide how I would like to hang it on the wall. Also, I just want to rest after making the quilt. It took a…

Inktober Drawing Promps 2021
Hi everyone! October is a week away and that means it’s almost time for Inktober! (Or, in my case, Sketchtober) If you never heard of Inktober (Or Sketchtober) it’s when artists draw a new piece of art every day though out the month of October. For artists participating in Inktober, each new piece must be drawn by pen or ink based drawing supplies. For Sketchtober, it must be a sketch only. Many artists, like myself, like to create a list of ideas to draw and share them in order to help anyone who feels uninspired drawing inspiration. This year, I decided to do something different: I wanted all the drawing…

Fall Quilt Update- Quilting on the Fall Quilt Is Finally Finished!
Hi everyone! I have some happy news! I finally finished quilting the fall quilt! Here’s a photograph of the finished quilt… I’m very happy with the way the quilt came out, but there are some spots I wanted to go back and work on quilting some more. I thought they would look better if I quilted them, but after trying to quilt them, I didn’t like the way they looked. After taking a few days rest, I looked at the quilt and decided I didn’t need to quilt them after all. So, the quilting is now finished! All I need to work on is the binding. I plan on making…

Fall Quilt Quilting Progress Update
Hi everyone! I finally made a decision about how large I want my quilt to be. After a lot of thought, I decided to keep the quilt the size it currently is. I don’t like the idea of making the quilt larger because I think the fabric I wanted to add to the border of the quilt will take attention away from the panel’s picture. I also plan on turning the quilt into a wall hanging, but I don’t plan on adding the wall hanging sleeves to it for a while. Since I decided what the size of the quilt should be, I started to work on actually quilting it!…

Picking The Binding & Backing Fabric for the Fall Quilt
Since I’m getting closer to finishing the quilt, I wanted to pick out the fabric for the binding and backing. I knew I would need the backing before the binding, but I still wanted to pick out the binding. That way I wouldn’t need to worry about finding the right fabric for the binding when I need to work on the binding.
