Hi everyone! It’s time for another post in my series focusing on the photographs I took of the Viney Jones Community Library in Florence, Arizona. In this post, the photographs are of the East side of the building. The East side of the building faces Main Street and is across the street from town hall. I took these photographs standing on the sidewalk beside town hall.

Garden at the Viney Jones Community Library Photographs in Florence, Arizona
Hi everyone! It is time for another post in my series of photographs I took of the Viney Jones Community Library and surrounding area. In my last post, I featured photographs I took of the front of the library and a path to a garden behind the library. Today, I will be featuring the photographs I took of the garden. Before I continue talking about the areas I photographed, I wanted to point out I do not know the formal name of the area I’m calling a garden. It is a plaza as well as an area to honor the armed forces of the United States. I tried researching the…

Sketchtober Travel Themed Art Prompts
Hi everyone! If you have been following this blog for years, every year for many years I publish a post featuring new Sketchtober (Or Inktober) art prompts. If you never heard of Sketchtober or Inkotber, it is a hashtag used on social media where artists sketch, or draw in ink, something new for each day of October. This is meant to be an artist exercise. I used to participate in Inktober, but my life has become too busy over the years for me to participate. No matter if I am participating in Sketchtober, Inktober, or not, I like to write posts with 31 art prompts. This year, I struggled to come…

Log Cabin Quilt Fabric from Walmart- Turquoise and Grey Color Scheme
Hi everyone! In a post I published last week, I talked about new log cabin quilt fabric I purchased from Walmart. You can read that post here. During the same shopping trip, I decided to buy the fabric I needed to make a second log cabin quilt. This time, I decided to use a turquoise and grey color scheme.

Sewing Vogue Pattern V2004: Playing With Trim Variations and My Final Decision
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I wrote a post about sewing my Vogue V2004 dress. Sadly, the final dress I made didn’t fit me right, so I decided to make another one. Even though I had a fitting setback with my first dress, I still have some posts to publish about making it. When I decided to make a new dress, I decided to make it using the same fabric and trim, but I enlarged the bust to make it fit me better. In this post, I want to talk about the trim options I had and what I ultimately picked for the first dress. Since the second…

Log Cabin Quilt Fabric from Walmart- Yellow and Navy Color Scheme
Hi everyone! As I write this post, I am on a sewing hand break. I needed one badly! Even though I am on a break, I am still thinking of sewing more things. Included in my post-break sewing list are dresses, new PJs, and a new coat. One of the things I didn’t add on my list are quilts. I didn’t plan on making any more quilts until after I finish my pink and green log cabin quilt. I was fully committed to not looking for fabric for a future quilt until I discovered my local Walmart has their fabric on sale. For over a year, I’ve been looking at…

Armed Forces Garden Flowers Photographs in Florence, Arizona
Hi everyone! Today, I will be continuing with my post series of the photographs I took of Florence, Arizona over a year ago. In my last post, I shared the photographs I took of flowers outside the aquatic center (Public pool and water park). In this post, I will be sharing two photographs I took of the flowers I saw in the Armed Forces Garden. Ok, I need to admit two things: First, I don’t actually remember what the “Armed Forces Garden” is formally called. It does have a name, but after searching online for it I can’t find it. The areas is located behind the Viney Jones Community Library.…

Yellow and Orange Flower Photographs in Florence, Arizona
Hi everyone! As summer winds down and fall approaches, I tend to romanticize the areas of Arizona I either lived in or spent time in growing up. The mountain of Arizona are getting cooler in the fall and temperatures start to go from in the 100 degree Fahrenheit to a far more tolerable, if not very pleasant temperature. One of these areas is Florence, Arizona. I took photographs of Florence and posted them years ago, but I wanted to post some more recent photographs of the town. Well, by recent I mean over a year ago! Basically what happened is that I was in town running errands and decided to…

Restarting Work on the Pink and Green Log Cabin Quilt
Hi everyone! I finally decided to restart working on the pink and green log cabin quilt. I stopped working on it last year (I think?!) because I had problems making the blocks fit together. After taking so much time off, and walking by it every day since I put it down, I decided to pick it back up and start working on it again. I decided to start working on it for two reasons: The first is because I’m planning on working on two more log cabin quilts and want to finish this one before I work on them. The second is because I’m just tired of waking by it…
