More Art Posts Coming Soon! Plus Sewing Update

A few weeks ago, I began to go through my sketch books to see if I had any drawings I could sell in my Etsy store. While looking at my sketch books, I realized I didn’t post many of the drawings. I have different reasons why I didn’t talk about the drawings online, but usually I didn’t feel ready to talk about them after I finished drawing them, some of the drawings were meant as a contest entries I ended up not entering, or the contest was not held at all.

Because I have so many drawings, I plan on finishing the drawings and making more posts here on my blog. Lately I’ve been taking photos of the drawings I like the most/see the most potential, edit the photos, and then posts them online. I’ve mostly posted the drawings on my Tumblr, but I’m slowly posting them on other social networking sites as well. Facebook, Twitter, and DeviantART are the most prominently neglected social networking sites that I need to post more art on.

As for sewing, I’ve been sewing a lot using my sewing machine. My thumb feels much better and I’ve begun to sew sequins onto the bodice of my Rose Tyler dress. Unlike before, I try to listen to my thumb to know if I’m overworking it. If I am overworking my thumb, I stop sewing and rest my hand. Despite the rests I take, I was still able to make more progress than I thought I would in a week’s work! I hope to make a progress post about the bodice soon.

For sewing machine sewing, so far I’ve made one dress, I’m currently working on a costume, and I have other dresses and costumes I have the fabric for and planned to make. It is my hope that once I finish sewing all the sequins onto the Rose Tyler dress I can begin to focus working on and finishing my other projects. The sequin sewing is tedious and I want to get it done so I don’t need to worry about it anymore. I wanted to take a photo of the completed dress earlier this week, but it was so windy I was afraid the dress form would be blown over. (This happened many times before and its very annoying. Especially if what I’m taking a photo of gets dirt all over it.) I think I’ll try to take photos of my finished dress very soon before the wind kicks back up again.

I have plenty of other sewing and art things I want to talk about, but for now that’s all I’ll talk about for now. 🙂

Thank you for reading.
