  • An Update on the McCall’s M8029 Sew With Me Video- Current Plans and Where the New Video Is

    April 21, 2026 /

Last year, I published a post about a video I posted on YouTube. The video was about how I made McCall’s pattern M8029. It wasn’t well received because it didn’t have a lot of details on how to sew the pattern. Even though I changed the title to say it wasn’t a tutorial, it still wasn’t well liked. So, I decided to take it down and planned on making a new video. It’s been over a year since I did this, but I haven’t uploaded a new video. I thought I would be able to release a new video about the pattern, but I didn’t. Since the video is taking…

  • An Important Update on The McCall’s 8029 Pattern Video

    June 10, 2025 /

Hi everyone. So, I have some bad new about the progress in making another video making for the McCall’s 8029 pattern: I haven’t even started sewing the pattern. I already purchased new fabric and recorded some of it, but things started to happen in my offline life that prevented me from sewing. I thought these things would have cleared up by now, but they haven’t. So, I’m unable to sew like I originally planned to. I thought I would have a video already edited and ready to be published by June, but that didn’t happen. I wanted to write this post because I don’t like it when someone promises something…

  • An Update About My Video “Sew With Me: McCall’s 8029”: What Happened to The Video and Future Video Plans

    January 23, 2025 /

It’s been over three years since I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel. In that time, a lot has changed for me both online and offline. I still want to continue uploading more videos and have plans for videos but right now is still not a good time to work on them. Even though I’m going through a season in my life where I struggle to maintain a YouTube channel, I have focused on my blogs. This is why when I received alerts from YouTube that one of my videos received more comments about it, I was surprised… and upset. The video was originally called Sew With Me: McCall’s…

    February 18, 2020 /

Well, I’m in the process of making McCall’s 8029 and, even though I would like to make a YouTube video about how I made this pattern, I wanted to sit down and write a post about my sewing progress. McCall’s 8029 is a sewing pattern that makes a cape and belt. I decided to make the cape and belt out of two different fabric designs, using a black and white fleece for the main body and grey fleece for the hood, belt, and contrasting parts of the cape. Here’s what it looks like so far…
