October 2025 iPhone Sunset Photographs- Part 2

Hi everyone! It’s time for the second post in my two post iPhone sunset photography series. In this series, I wanted to talk about photographs I took in October 2025 of a desert sunset. The first photographs, which I already talked about in a post here, is of a saguaro cactus with the sun setting behind it. For this post, I will talk about the photographs I took of the same saguaro cactus on the same day, but from a different angle.

At the time I took these photographs, I wanted to see how well an iPhone’s photos can be edited in a new photo editing software I was trying out. I was comparing the iPhone photos to my Cannon Rebel T7’s photographs and how well they turned out in the editing software.

On the day I took the photographs in this post, I didn’t use my camera to take photographs of the sunset. So, I don’t have any camera photographs to compare the iPhone photographs to.

Just like in my previous post, I think the iPhone takes photographs that shows off the desert around the saguaro. I like this because my camera doesn’t do this when I have my normal settings in place. I could change them, but I normally don’t.

Even though I like the iPhone’s photographs, I still think these photographs are more blurry than they could be. My camera’s photographs are not like this. I know my type of iPhone isn’t known for it’s ability to take great photographs, but I was still hoping I could take photographs with my iPhone and can edit them to be clearer in the new software I was trying out. I’m still thinking of what to do, aside from not use an iPhone to take my best photographs. I am also wondering about the software I was using to edit the photographs. Maybe it could be not the right photography editing program for me and what I want to use it for? I am still going to tinker with the software and see if it will work. If not, I’ll move onto something else. (In case anyone is wondering why I’m not mentioning the name of the program, it is because I feel like I don’t have a solid opinion on the software)
