Update on My YouTube Channel and Why I Haven’t Posted Yet

Hi everyone! It has been a long time (Over a year and a half) since I posted a video on YouTube. I planned to start posting on YouTube again in January, but I didn’t. Since it has been so long since I posted on YouTube, I wanted to write a post about what happened and why I didn’t post yet.

Before I explain why I haven’t posted, I wanted to mention I am still monitoring all my YouTube channels. Even though I haven’t posted in such a long time, I haven’t forgotten them. I still think up YouTube video ideas. I still want to post, yet there are many reasons why I haven’t posted. Out of all reasons, there are three reasons I feel comfortable talking about online. The first is my new computer, the second is a of inspiration, and the third is a lack of places to film.

First, I am happy about my new computer. Even though it is a year old, I still enjoy using it. I mentioned I purchased a new computer last year and, for the first time in years, I purchased a Mac. I miss a Windows computer and Microsoft operating software, but Microsoft has changed so much since I began using my Mac I don’t know I will enjoy using it today. Despite my love for my computer, I still feel like I haven’t figured out using it completely. This is especially true when it comes to creating videos for YouTube. I am still working on learning and mastering editing videos this computer, but I still don’t feel completely comfortable recording voice overs.

Secondly, I am struggling with inspiration of videos. I have plenty of YouTube video ideas, but I struggle with them. I want to create vlogs, lifestyle, and DIY videos, yet I wanted to post them on certain channels. I have more than one channel so that isn’t a problem. Still, I feel overwhelmed with my ideas and what I’d like to do with them. I keep thinking all I need is one video idea to make me want to start working on them, yet I know that doesn’t happen.

Finally, I’m having problems finding filming locations. My home isn’t really neat and has many things I don’t want to photograph or record. So, filming certain shots of me cutting fabric, drafting sewing patterns, or even doing outfit of the days isn’t practical. There is an answer to this: move. I’m not moving right now, but I do know moving is completely inevitable for me. The sad part is that I don’t know how to keep filming YouTube channels till then!

Overall, I’m struggling to keep posting videos and even recording them. I don’t want to give up on YouTube, but right now I’m on an unintentional extended break. I am thinking of new ways of filming and videos ideas that avoid the filming problems. I just don’t know how long it will take me to finally create a video and post it!
