Paris Themed Main Quilt Fabric

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I have been sewing, drawing, and taking photographs. I just didn’t have the time to post anything. I’m going to try to change that this month and I will start by talking about a quilt based off Paris, France.

Last year, before there was a rush on fabric due to the pandemic, I bought a lot of fabric from Walmart. One of the fabric designs I purchased has a Paris themed design. When I saw it in store, I liked the design, but I didn’t think I would ever use it. I decided to buy it anyway with the intention of using it to make myself a shabby chic themed quilt. Since then the fabric sat in my fabric pile until I pulled it out to make it into a quilt this year. When I looked at the fabric again, my idea to use the fabric in a shabby chic themed quilt evolved into a Paris themed quilt.

The fabric came in two colorways with the same design. The first has a pink/coral colorway….

And the second is an off white/ivory colorway…

Right now these are the only fabrics I have for my Paris quilt. I recently looked at Walmart to see if there are fabrics that will complement the fabric I have, but I couldn’t find anything that caught my eye. I also looked at my nearest Joann’s and I also failed to find anything that caught my eye. I have plans to go to Hobby Lobby, a different Walmart, and a different Joann’s, but I continually need to push my plans back due to work and bad weather in my area. Once I go, I hope to take some photographs of the fabric that caught my eye.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
