Results of the Lightning Returns Contest…

Well, as much as I like to imagine myself typing this post announcing that I won, I didn’t. I admit, I was depressed about it for a while, but I’m ok now! (I really wanted the sketch by Tetsuya Nomura, the Final Fantasy main character designer… and the money wouldn’t hurt either.) After seeing everyone who made it to the semi finals and the winners, I’m ok with loosing. (They’re awfully good…)

This whole experience did help me in some ways. I learned I shouldn’t be so hard on myself when I loose a contest. I learned I have an obvious drawing/art style. I also learned several other things, but it mostly I need a new computer. Although a new computer cannot do anything to help my chances in winning, it would’ve helped, or at least make it easier, in this case. My computer and Gimp crashed several times while I was working on my entry and I ended up loosing most of the work I did on the entry. I ended up letting my computer sit for a few days so it can recover and work on my entry again. I probably wouldn’t change how my entry looked, but I like to be punctual, especially when it comes to contest entries, homework, doctor’s appointments, ect. so the delays and loosing my work made me livid.
