Princess Horse Painting
To make a long story short, I need a new computer. My old one works fine, but it’s old and I think it’s about time I got a newer computer with a larger memory. Since I’m computer searching, I thought I’d better look at possibly getting a new digital painting program. The plan is to still use Gimp, but also learn, and use, the new program in preparation of possibly getting an art job somewhere. I can be pessimistic about my art abilities so I don’t want to spend my money on a paint program I cannot use because “I’m just not that good.” In order to convenience myself that this is a good idea, I tried to speed paint tonight. I’m stick of drawing/painting fan art and its been years since I painted a horse, so I painted a horse with pink and purple hair. Why pink and purple hair? Because I can. 😀
Here it is…
It took me about 30 minutes to do. 15 to sketch and 15 to color. That’s the fastest work I ever did with a digital painting. I also like how it turned out. It’s not a 100% realistic painting, but I didn’t expect it to be. I mean, I gave the horse purple and pink hair! XD
Anyway, I feel inspired and encouraged by my work on this painting. I also realized I missed drawing/painting horses. I might do some more in the future. We’ll see. 🙂
You can fave the painting on DevaintART here.
Enjoy!
