Mansfield Park Gate Quilt Kit by Riley Blake Designs
Hi everyone! Last year, I decided to buy some of Riley Blake Designs’ Jane Austen collection. The collection is a quilting fabric collection inspired by Jane Austen and her novels. The collection includes fat quarters, pre cut strips, and quilt kits.
I already own three of the kits in the collection. (I talked about them here, here, here, and here) I like them a lot and planned on not purchasing any more kits from the collection. (They can be really expensive, hard to find, and I don’t always like the designs they create) Last year, after searching for the kits to make sure I really don’t want to own them, I found the Mansfield Park Gate Quilt Kit and Flora from Mansfield Park Table Runner Kit.
After a lot of debate, I decided to buy them. I like both of them enough to own them, but I’m sure these will be the last kits I will be purchasing from the collection and for a long time.
Since I now own these two kits, I decided to write posts about them as well. The first kit I is the Mansfield Park Gate Quilt Kit.
The kit comes in a similar style box as the previous kits. Like with the previous kits, this one also has a magnetic flap closure to ensure the contents don’t spill out very easily. This is what the front looks like…

And this is what the back looks like…

The back also has a picture of what the quilt will look like when finished.
Here are what the contents inside the box look like…

The front cover of the box has a quote printed on it…

And here is the list of everything the kit comes with…

The kit comes with printed instructions and all the fabric needed to make the quilt top. Additional fabric will be needed to back the quilt.
Once assembled, the kit creates a 60 by 60 inch quilt and the fabric in the kit is 100% cotton. The quilt was designed in collaboration with Jane Austen’s House, a museum dedicated to Jane Austen and kept within the house she lived the last eight years of her life in.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
