Sewing Projects I’m Currently Working On- July 2021
Hi everyone! Even though it’s July, I’ve been focused on sewing projects for the fall, winter, and Christmas time. All of the projects I’m currently working on are still works in progress, so I decided to write a collective post about them. I’m very excited about them and can’t wait to finish them. Once they are done, I plan on writing a post about each project. Until then, here are the sewing projects I’ve been working on.
Flannel Christmas Dress
I’m almost done making the flannel Christmas dress! All I have left to work on in the dress is hemming the skirt and finish the arm holes and neckline. I’ve been postponing working on it in order to work on other sewing projects, but I have so little to do to it that I can finish it before the end of the month.
Fall Quilt
I started working on a fall quilt earlier this year. The only things I need to do is finish quilting the quilt and put a binding on it. This quilt will probably take a while to finish because I need to hand quilt everything on the quilt. I plan on talking about the quilt when it gets closer to fall.
Christmas Quilt
Like the fall quilt, I worked on a Christmas quilt. The only difference between the fall quilt and the Christmas quilt is I’m over halfway done hand quilting it. After the quilting is done, I’ll sew a binding onto the quilt. Even though I’m very excited about this quilt, I’m going to wait to talk about it until it’s December.
Navy Blue Fleece Coat
I need a new coat for winter, so I decided to finally make one. I have some nice navy blue fleece from Joann’s that I will use to make the coat out of. I will also be using a Simplicity pattern to make the coat out of. So far I have all the pieces of the coat out as well as the lining. Now all I need to do is sit down and actually make the coat. I plan on recording a sew with me video of how I make the coat for YouTube.
New Blanket for My Relative
My relative needed a new blanket for their bed. I knew they would eventually need a new blanket, so a while ago I tried to look for new fabric to make a new one. After failing to find similar fabric, I talked my relative into using a different fabric for the new blanket. I purchased the fabric recently and began to work on the blanket. I’m unsure if it will work well for my relative (The last blanket I made for them didn’t work well) so I’m not going to talk about the blanket very much until it meets my relative’s approval.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
