April 2018 Sewing Pattern Haul

Hi everyone! April is over so that means it’s time for another sewing pattern haul. This pattern haul is mostly Vogue sewing patterns, but I do have a few McCall’s patterns I missed buying in March.

Like with March’s pattern haul, I recorded a video of the patterns and why I bought them. You can watch it here.

Ok, onto the patterns!

The first patterns I bought were McCall’s patterns. The first one I bought was McCall’s pattern number 7733…

I wanted to buy this pattern in March, but while at the store, I decided not to. When the McCall’s patterns went on sale again in April, I decided to buy it.

In addition to the Yaya Han pattern, I also bought McCall’s 7722…

McCall’s 7726…

And McCall’s 7727…

While shopping for McCall’s patterns, the Joann’s I went to had Vogue home sewing patterns on sale as well. I wanted some of the new summer 2018 collection patterns, but I ended getting them because the Joann’s I went to didn’t have the summer 2018 patterns for sale. Instead, I bought a lot of Vogue patterns I had my eye on but didn’t have the opportunity to buy.

The Vogue patterns I bought are number 9257…

Vogue 9189…

And Vogue 1486…

I also found Vogue 1019, a reprint of a 1947 skirt suit pattern…

I also found Vogue pattern number 8729, another vintage reprint pattern of a 1954 ballgown dress pattern…

I also bought two bridal wedding dress patterns, Vogue 2788…

And Vogue 2979, a pattern that creates a dress that looks like the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress…

The last three patterns I bought are out of print Vogue sewing patterns. The first two are part of Vogue’s Paris Original series and are collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld. They are Vogue 1972…

And Vogue 2087…

I bought these patterns because I had an idea to make a Channel inspired outfit. Since Karl Lagerfeld is head designer for Channel, and designers sometimes reuse design elements from their fashion lines in their designs for larger fashion houses, I wanted to use these patterns as a guide to make a Channel inspired outfit. I’m not sure when I’ll start working on it because I’m in the planning stages of it, but hope to work on it soon!

The last out of print Vogue pattern I bought is Vogue pattern number 2534…

This pattern is part of Vogue’s Designer Original line and is a collaboration with Ganni Versace. The pattern is from the 1980’s (Probably the late 1980’s?) and I love it. I’m not a huge fan of the 80’s fashions, but I love this dress and I think it will make a great summer dress. I need to figure out what fabrics I wanted to make the dress out of, then I’ll start making it.

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
