Fire Hair Girl Drawing

A few weeks ago, I decided to try to get back into traditional drawing. It only lasted for a few days, but it was nice while it lasted!

One of the things I wanted to work on was coloring hair with markers and colored pencils. It’s been a while since I did this so I decided to try it and see how well I liked the result.

My first try turned out ok, but I wasn’t wild about it. So, I tried it again and I liked the result….

I liked it so much I gave it a name, Fire Hair Girl. I made a different drawing years ago and called it a name similar to this one, but I couldn’t (And still can’t) think of anything more original to name this drawing.

The drawing was done on drawing paper with a .7 mechanical pencil. It was colored with prismacolor and copic markers and prismacolor pencils.

I really should try to make more traditional drawings. I liked it but I haven’t found the time to work on more drawings. I hope this will change next month!
