Florence, Arizona Home Tour- February 2018- Part 14
Down the road from the Emma Monk Guild House was two more houses on the tour. The first was on the corner of Willow Street and W Butte Ave. I didn’t go inside but I did take a photograph of it from the outside.

A little ways down the road from the Florence Women’s Club was the Emma Monk Guild House. I did go inside the house, but because it was someone’s home, I decided not to take any photographs inside.

After walking a ways, I finally arrived at the Florence Women’s Club building. I wanted to go inside, but I had many more stops to make so I took a few photographs of the exterior and continue walking to the next tour stop.

After looking at the McFarland State Park, I walked down the street to other houses on the tour. The next two houses on the tour are right beside each other.

After going inside the McFarland State Park, I took photographs of some of the exhibits. The McFarland State Park building served many functions over the years, but it currently serves as a museum and the Florence Visitors Center. Since I didn’t want to disturb anyone looking at the exhibits, I didn’t take as many photographs as I wanted to. Even though I didn’t take as many as I wanted, I was able to take some.

Across the street from the Silver King Marketplace is the McFarland State Park. Although the Silver King Marketplace is across the street, I wanted to go to the McFarland State Park more. In addition to being a museum, the McFarland State Park also serves as the Florence Visitors Center.

While on the way to my next stop on the tour, I walked by another stop on the tour: The Silver King Hotel. It’s current name is the Silver King Marketplace because the hotel no longer serves as a hotel. The inside was converted into store space and has the capacity to hold four stores. I decided not to go inside because it was very busy that day.

Florence, Arizona Home Tour- February 2018- Part 7
After visiting the Clarke House, my legs began to get tired from all the walking, but I wanted to see the next house on the tour. I don’t remember the name of the house, but it is located across the alley behind the the Clarke House.

The next stop was the Clarke House. It is located on Main Street and currently serves as the location of the Florence Reminder Blade Tribune, the town’s newspaper. It was a long walk from the Catholic church, but at that time I wanted to force myself to walk more for exercise. Since it is where the newspaper’s office is located, I didn’t take many photographs of the outside of the building and none of the inside of the building.

Down the street from my previous stop on the home tour was my next stop: Assumption of the Virgin Mary Catholic Church. It is always on the home tour and I couldn’t wait to go inside. It’s been many years since I went inside the church and I was curious to see how it looks.
