7 Sewing Projects for 2026

Hi everyone! It’s 2026 which means it’s time to make plans for the new year. Since this blog is dedicated to everything I create, I wanted to make a new list of projects I plan on making it 2026.

For this post, I want to list seven sewing projects I plan on working on in 2026. Some of them I know I will work on this year while others I can get away with not working on.No matter if I will work on anything on this list or not, right now, in January 2026, these are the seven most important sewing projects I want to work on this year!

Here are my sewing projects…

  1. Finish Sewing My Quilts- I want to work on all the quilts I either started or planned on working on in 2025 but never finished.
  2. Finish Vogue V2004- I really need to finish this dress.
  3. Pajama Tops and Bottoms- It’s time to make myself new pajama tops and bottoms!
  4. A Summer Dress- I had an idea to make myself a new summer dress, but I would put it off. This year I want to actually make it!
  5. Pottery Barn Inspired 4th of July Banner- I saw a 4th of July banner I really liked on Pottery Barn’s website a few years ago. I decided not to buy it because it was pricy. This year I want to try to make it myself.
  6. Remake My Old Prom Dress- A project I’ve been waiting to do for years, but never got around to doing it.
  7. New Party Dresses Using Old Prom Dresses- Again, a project I’ve been waiting to do for years, but never got around to doing it. I’ll go into how I got old prom dresses for this project whenever I start to write posts about how I created my party dress.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
