Sewing Plans for May 2026
Hi everyone! It’s a new month, which means it is time for me to start focusing on new sewing projects. I’ve been slacking on my sewing for the past few months due to a busy life and too many allergies. (This year seemed harder on me and my relative than last year. I don’t know why, but it has been!) Since I wasn’t able to focus on sewing these past few months, I let a lot of sewing projects fall to the waist side. In May, I’m hoping to start sewing like I needed to again. I have projects that require immediate attention (Pajamas!) and others that I want to…

7 Sewing Projects for 2026
Hi everyone! It’s 2026 which means it’s time to make plans for the new year. Since this blog is dedicated to everything I create, I wanted to make a new list of projects I plan on making it 2026. For this post, I want to list seven sewing projects I plan on working on in 2026. Some of them I know I will work on this year while others I can get away with not working on.No matter if I will work on anything on this list or not, right now, in January 2026, these are the seven most important sewing projects I want to work on this year!

Sewing Plans for November 2024
Hi everyone! I can’t believe it is almost November! This year has been busy for me and has included some high points and low points. October was no different. Even though I had some major high points and some very unsettling lows, I was able to sew more than I thought I would be. I am happy that I have made progress in some of my quilt projects and already drafted the changes to a sewing pattern I want to use. Even though October was supposed to be a major sewing month for me with even more projects started and finishes, it didn’t turn out to be a complete flop…

A Few Sewing and Craft Things I’m Working on This Month- July 2024
Hi everyone! This year has been interesting. Every year has been interesting, but this year has included new experiences. One of those experiences is to work on my house. I finished painting my bathroom a few months ago and I’m still stunned it looks as good as it does. Even though painting my bathroom and other diy repairs around my house are not diy crafts, I’m feeling very proud of my work and progress on it! Since I’ve been working on my house, I haven’t had time or energy to work on anything but the house. Even though it is halfway through the month, I decided to slow down on…

Sewing Vogue Pattern V2004: The Main Lace Trim
Hi everyone! In today’s post in my sewing Vogue Pattern V2004 series, I wanted to talk about the main trim I used on the dress. Since the dress is already finished, I wanted to talk about the lace trim I used and if I thought it was a good choice or not.

Sewing Vogue Pattern V2004: The Fashion Fabric & Lining Fabric
Hi everyone! It’s time for a new post in my series about how I made Vogue Pattern V2004! This time, I will be talking about the fabric I choose for the outer/fashion fabric and the lining fabric. By the time this post is published, the dress is already completed! The reasons why I decided to delay posts about making it in a more realistic time is due to the fact I had some fit problems with the bodice. I know what went wrong and how to fix it, but I needed time to focus on it instead of writing posts about the dress in real time. I will go into…

New Sewing Project! Sewing Vogue Pattern V2004
Hi everyone! It’s been a few years since I wrote a series of posts about sewing clothing. I used to do this a lot for the costumes I made. Today, I prefer to make my own clothes instead of costumes! Since I shifted my attention to sewing clothing for myself, I decided to document my process of making clothing in blog posts. The piece of clothing I decided to make is a summer dress using Vogue Pattern’s V2004. I planned on making this pattern for an Easter dress, but the physical pattern didn’t arrive until after Easter. I decided to use cotton sateen fabric to make view A (AKA the…
