New Embroidery Project: Winter Deer Scene
Hi everyone! A few months ago, I began to work on a new embroidery project. It is part of an embroidery kit I purchased off Amazon. I already finished embroidered one of the designs. I talked about it in this post and this post.
The new embroidery kit design I started working on is a winter scene with two deer. I started and finished this design months ago, but I decided to delay publishing posts about it until the winter. I thought it would be more fun to publish posts about my work during the holiday season.
This is what the unfinished kit and the color chart looked like…

This is what the embroidery design looked like…

This is what the key looks like…

And, finally, this is a closeup of what the embroidery design is supposed to look like after it is finished…

All the kits are winter themed and come with fabric with the design printed with water soluble ink, floss, and needles. After working with the first kit, I already know I don’t like the floss the kits come with. They tangle easily and are difficult to use. So, I use embroidery floss I already own and like to use instead. I’ll talk more about my color choices for this design in the next embroidery post.
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
