The Navy and Yellow Log Cabin Quilt- The Completed Quilt

Hi everyone! After a bad month of setbacks and other problems, I finally have some time to write the last post about my navy and yellow log cabin quilt!

Months ago, I finished quilting and binding the quilt. As of this post the turquoise and grey quilt still needs to be quilted, so I won’t be able to talk about this quilt’s sister in a post for a while.

This is what the finished quilt looks like…

Here are some closeups of the quilting…

I’m very happy with the way the quilt turned out! It didn’t give me as many problems as the turquoise and grey quilt, so it came together much faster.

I decided to use navy blue cotton flannel as the backing for the quilt. I purchased it to make a different quilt, but those plans fell through. So, I decided to use it for the backing of this quilt. Although the flannel will make the quilt warm, I want it to be warm. My bedroom gets quite cold during the summer months due to the air conditioning and how it blows (Which has always baffled me because I live in Arizona and it gets hot) so this quilt was created to be used in my cold room. If I ever move, I plan on using it during the winter time. I sometimes get tired of the traditional colors for winter, so this would be a brighter, fun alternative to anything stereotypically winter designed or colored.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
