Where is Sketchtober and My Art Posting Plans for 2022
Hi everyone! It’s almost the official half way point of October. So far, I have not mentioned a favorite online art tradition of mine: Sketchtober. Every year, I write a post of Sketchtober artist prompts for that year. I planned to write one this year, but I didn’t.
The reason why I didn’t do it is quite simple: I was too busy. Even though I’ve been blogging for years, I still have a day job. And, as with anyone, I still have obligations to fulfill and things (And people) to take care of offline. Because of this, I don’t always have the time to work on my blogs or projects to talk about on my blogs like I want to. This includes art.
Unfortunately, this year was one of those busy years. Because of this, I didn’t create a Sketchtober art prompt post. I also have been slacking in my art lately. I don’t like to slack because I like to keep my art skills sharp, but I just didn’t have the time and energy to work on any new pieces of art this year. I do draw and sketch, but I didn’t always like to post them online.
So, instead of dedicating the month of October to art, I decided to move whatever I would’ve posted to November. I don’t really feel guilty about this. In fact, I’m really happy to do it! I have a new computer (The same one I purchased earlier this year) that I haven’t used to illustrate anything yet, so I’m excited to write posts about how well it works and if I see a difference in my digital art or not.
I’m still pretty upset about missing out on Sketchtober, but oh well. Sometimes, you can’t do everything you want to. And that’s not the worst thing in the world!
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
