Fall Quilt Update- The Borders and Corners Are Sewn On!

Hi everyone! I have some new progress to report on my quilt: I was able to sew the border and corners on!

Doing this was pretty simple, (Sew the corner fabric onto the edges of the cut border fabric. Then sew them onto the quilt panel.) but I still wanted to mention it. In my last post, I showed the border fabric and corner fabric. The idea is to use the border fabric and corner fabric to make a frame around the panel.

Here is the border fabric I chose…

The fabric has two sizes to choose from: The larger size, which has sunflowers and mums, and the smaller size, which has acorns and leaves. For the border, I decided to use the larger size because it framed the panel the best. I have plans to use the smaller border fabric, but I’ll talk about that in a different post.

The corner fabric is an ivory colored fabric with fine gold metallic lines printed all over the fabric…

I thought the fabric would make a good contrast to the back background of the border fabric.

Here’s what border fabric and corner fabric looks like when sewn onto the panel…

Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
