7 Knitting Projects for 2026

Hi everyone! This year, I have a lot of knitting plans. I have quite a lot of yarn from scrapped projects that I need to turn into something. Out of all the knitting projects I have plans for, seven stand out the most to me. They are the most important and the ones I want to work on the most.

For this post, I wanted to list the seven projects I want to work on for 2026 as well as the reasons to work on them.

Here are the seven knitting projects I want to work on in 2026…

  1. Pink and Tan Beanie and Scarf- I already own a matching pink and tan beanie and scarf, but they are made out of synthetic yarn. Even though they are still in good shape, I want to make a matching set out of natural yarn.
  2. Sweater- This year I hope I can finally knit myself a sweater!
  3. Beanie and Scarf Made Out of Wool Yarn- I own several skeins of wool yarn to make a beanie and scarf. I hope this year I can finally make a matching set out of the wool yarn.
  4. Use Up Cotton Yarn from a Scrapped Project- I had a failed knitting project last year. I have plenty of yarn from it, so I decided to use up the yarn. I already made a throw out of it. Now I’m thinking of making matching throw pillows.
  5. Cardigan- Another attempted and failed project. I hope I can make one this year.
  6. Pillow Covers- These pillow covers are different than the ones I plan on making out of the scrapped project yarn.
  7. Sweater/Cardigan Ornament- I see sweater and cardigan ornaments every year, but I never liked any of them. This year, I want to make one in a design I will actually like.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
