Hobby Lobby Fall Cotton Fabric and My Problems Working it Into A Quilt

Advertisements

Hi everyone! During my current great big clean out, (In which I’m cleaning out all the stuff I’ve collected over the years but never had the time nor the energy to do so) I’ve been going through my fabric collection and decide which ones I keep and don’t keep. In the process, I find fabric that I bought, put away, and forgot. One of these fabrics is a cotton fall themed fabric I purchased from Hobby Lobby.

This is what the fabric looks like…

I remember buying it because it was on sale and because it is cute. I thought I would one day be able to turn it into a quilt but it never worked out. The major problem I have with the fabric is the irregular picture designs all over it. I like the design, and is the reason why I purchased the fabric in the first place, but it is hard for me to picture it in a quilt. I knew back then if I wanted to incorporate the fabric into a quilt, I would need to study the design more and decided how to proceed in cutting it and piecing it for the quilt. At that time I wanted to make an easier, less stressful quilt. So, I decided to put out the fabric into storage and forgot about it until I found it again this year.

Since I have it, I began to look for ways to work the fabric into a quilt. Now-en days I have different fall themed fabric I can use for the quilt. So far things looks promising, yet I still need to figure out how to cut the fabric pieces for the quilt as well as seam sizes.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
