March 2023 Saguaro Ribs Photographs Part 1
Hi everyone! In March, 2023, I went to my relative’s property to take photographs of the desert and the wildflower blooms. I saw many wildflowers, but massive bloom in the area came in the next month, April. After walking around the desert, I found several areas I wanted to take some photographs of whenever the blooms came.
One of those areas was where a cluster of cacti (I believe it is Engelmann’s Hedgehog Cactus (Echinocereus Engelmannii) lived next to the ribs of a saguaro that passed away. I liked the way they looked together, so I used this as one of my favorite places to take photographs of some of the wildflowers and green desert scenery.
This is what the saguaro ribs and the cacti looked like from the “back” AKA the not as photogenic side of it…
As you can tell, it is still a photogenic side. Just not the side I favored.
Here is what it looks like from the “front” AKA my favorite side to take photographs of…
These photographs were taken during as sunset.
This is what it looked like during the day time…
I ended up taking many photographs of this area during the 2023 Superbloom. I really liked how it looked. It was also fun to photograph. Frustrating at times because I needed to crouch down on the ground to take pictures, which, due to some health problems, wasn’t easy for me to do at that time, but still. Enjoyable. I really liked the way the photographs I took turned out. Even now I enjoy looking at them!
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
