Sewing and Craft Review- October 2019
Well, October is over and I didn’t write the posts or do the things I wanted to. Too many things happened this past month that stopped me from blogging or sewing or took my motivation away from doing the things I wanted to. Despite this, I was still able to finish some sewing and craft projects and start new ones as well. The first thing I made last month was sets of throw pillows. I found Frozen 2 throw pillow kits at Walmart that I wanted to try. The first kit made a set of square pillows…
And another kit made a large Olaf body pillow…
Both kit are very easy to make. The pillows turned out really nicely and I can’t wait to give them to a little someone I know will love them!
In addition to the Frozen pillows, I also purchased a kit for Christmas pillows…
I purchased the kit from Joann’s and, like the Frozen pillows, the kit was easy to follow and the pillows turned out really nicely.
Although I finished the pillow kits, I didn’t finish other sewing kits this past month. The kits I didn’t finish are a Frozen 2 messenger bag…
and a Christmas table runner…
Even though the kits are really easy to make, they are more complicated than the throw pillows. Because of this, I needed more time to work on them. Also, I needed supplies I didn’t have on hand. After searching for the extra supplies, I realized I needed to go to a bigger store with more sewing supplies, which I didn’t do before the end of the month. So, I didn’t get them finished. I plan on finishing them in the beginning of this month.
The project I didn’t think about or even plan for in October was a Halloween costume. I love making costumes, but I was too focused on other things that I didn’t make myself a new costume! I hope to make one this month because, even though Halloween has come and gone, the Arizona Renaissance Festival is 3 or so months away. So, it’s time for me to get ready for festival season!
There are other sewing projects I want to talk about, but I’m still in the planning stages of them. As for knitting projects, I want to do some knitting, but I’m having problems finding yarn I like. I don’t know why, but the yarn I love to use are now sold out. Since I cannot find the yarn I like to knit with, I didn’t start any knitting projects last month. I hope I can find some yarn this month because I really want to make myself a new beanie or winter accessories.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
