Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- March 2021 Part 2
In my last post of photographs I took in March 2021 of the Florence- Kelvin Highway, I mentioned that I didn’t take as many photographs of the highway as I did in December 2020. Since I didn’t take as many photographs, most of the photographs I have yet to post are of the same exact subject matter. I really liked the way the clouds looked with the scenery and the road, so the rest of the photographs I took that day are of this. Even though it the photographs may seem repetitive, I’m very happy with the way they turned out.

Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- March 2021 Part 1
In March, I went back to the Florence-Kelvin Highway to take some more photographs of the scenery. On the day I went, there were clouds passing by but there was no rain. Because of this, I thought there would be plenty of fluffy clouds to take pictures of. When I got there, I was happy to discover I was right. So, I took some photographs. Unlike the first series of posts I made about the photographs I took of the highway in December 2020, I didn’t take nearly as many photographs on the day I went. I wanted to take my time seeing the scenery while driving on the road…

Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- December 2020 Part 5
Hi everyone! This is the last post of the photographs I took during my trip to the Florence-Kelvin Highway in December 2020. In this post, I wanted to share all the photographs I took during the trip but I took before I left the highway and went home. Because of this, there are photographs of a variety of subjects I already posted about such as the crested saguaro, road, and desert with clouds and virga in the background. Also, I took photographs of other cacti near the road.

During my trip to the Florence-Kelvin Highway in December 2020, I made sure to take the opportunity to take plenty of photographs of the cristate, or crested, saguaro. I took so many of them I decided to dedicate this post to them. If you want to know more about the cactus, this article about them on Arizona Highways’ website will help explain what they are. And now here are all the photographs, including close ups, of the crested saguaro cactus…

Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- December 2020 Part 3
When I went to the Florence-Kelvin Highway in December 2020, I wanted to focus on taking photographs of one saguaro cactus that can be seen from the road. The cactus is a cristate, or crested, saguaro cactus, which means the cactus has a mutation that makes the crown, or top, of the cactus to create a crested fan formation. You can read more about the cactus here. The cactus is located off the highway and can be seen while driving on the highway. On the day I went on a drive on the Florence-Kelvin Highway, there were rain storms and passing clouds in the area. I thought these clouds would…

Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- December 2020 Part 2
In my last post about the photographs I took during a December 2020 visit to the Florence- Kelvin Highway, I shared the photographs I took of the scenery with the highway pavement in the photograph. In this post, I wanted to share the photographs I took not only of the scenery and the pavement, but also some photographs I took of the desert and the clouds. On the day I took photographs of the scenery, there were storms in the area. It was starting to clear when I went to the highway. I love the way the clouds look on the Florence- Kelvin Highway, so taking photographs during times like…

Florence-Kelvin Highway Photographs- December 2020 Part 1
It’s been quite a while since I posted photographs on my blog. I was able to take photographs of the outdoors for the past few months, but I never had the chance to edit them. This past month, I was able to have enough time to edit them. Not all the photographs I took are finished editing, but I was able to finish editing some of them. Some of the photographs I recently finished editing are photographs I took of the Florence-Kelvin Highway. I started to take photographs of the Florence-Kelvin Highway in Arizona in December 2020. I needed to spend more time away from the area where I currently…
