Pink and Green Log Cabin Quilt Block Pattern Ideas
It’s been a while since I talked about my work on the Pink and Green Log Cabin Quilt, but to be honest, there hasn’t been much progress since my last post about the quilt. Even though I don’t have much to report about the quilt, I do have old photographs I took of the quilt as reference that I can use in posts! Since I’m still working on the quilt, I decided to talk about some of the old reference photographs as fill in topics to write posts about.
Two of the photographs I want to talk about are of the placement and layout of the blocks. Since I used a pattern that came with specific directions on how the layout should be, I believed I couldn’t stray too much from the pattern. Despite this, I still wanted to lay out the blocks to see what they looked like together in a different configuration.
After playing with the layout, I wanted to see what the blocks would look like when I laid out the blocks with all pink sides touching to make a block…
As well as what the blocks would look like if only green sides touched…
I really liked the way they looked. This layout is different than the way the pattern I used says to use, but it was fun to see what they looked like together in a different configuration.
Well, that’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
