Long Lost Walmart Christmas Quilt Fabric- Old Plans and New Plans for The Fabric

Hi everyone! I’ve been doing a major clean out of all my things, including fabric. It’s been hard to let go of fabric I planned on using to make myself clothes and more, but I need to start letting them go.

Even though I’m getting rid of a lot of fabric, I also discovered fabric I forgot I owned. In this case, I found a whole entire collection of Christmas fabric I purchased from Walmart.

Here are the fabric…

They are all in 1 yard pre-cut sizes and are 100% cotton. I own three red cardinal fabrics and one of each of the other designs.

I don’t remember all my plans for the fabric, but I do remember wanting to fussy cut the cardinal fabric so the pictures of the cardinals would be visible in the quilt. As for the rest of the fabric, I don’t remember what I wanted to cut them like.

After dwelling on what I can do with this fabric, I think I will cut out the cardinal fabric the way I originally planned. Then, I will use the rest of the fabric to create scrappy looking borders around the cardinal fabric panels. I also want to cut out the red and black forest border into strips and work them into the quilt as well.

I think this quilt will take a while to make, so I don’t know when I’ll get around to making it. I do know I will not be working on it until next year. I have too many things going on this holiday season to sit down and sew like I want/need to.

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading!
